I have decided that I will host monthly RRS MI meetings and/or outings in an effort to bulid a better sense of community. These will be held on the last Thursday of every month. This means the first one will be held on July 26th, and we will be watching the movie "The God Who Wasn't There". If you all have seen this, please let me know, we can choose another, but I thought it fitting to start with that one, and I WILL start the evening off with a group discussion on where and what we would like to see come out of this local chapter (something that was never really talked about in depth yesterday). Other activities under consideration are things like scientific exhibition outings, protests where needed, and possibly the planning of political activism as our state is concerned.

You're right, no rational person could call that an accident. Though it's kinda weird that Watson and Crick, the discoverers of DNA, were both atheists. And come to think of it, Bill Gates, who's referenced here is an atheist too. Hmm, that's odd.

On JANUARY 16th, 2007 Hand of God aired nationally on the PBS public affairs series FRONTLINE. It became one of their most talked-about shows.

In recent decades, more than 10,000 children were reportedly sexually abused by Catholic priests in the United States. In "Hand of God," filmmaker Joe Cultrera explores just one of those cases, that of his own brother Paul.

Paul Cultrera was molested in the 1960s by Father Joseph Birmingham, who allegedly abused nearly 100 other children. "Hand of God" tells the story of faith betrayed, and how Paul and the rest of the Cultrera family fought back against a scandal that continues to afflict scores of churches across the country.

I was recently asked how many abortion clinics had been bombed in the last ten years? A Fundamentalist Christian friend asserted none had been bombed, I thought otherwise.

According to Religious Tolerance's report on Violence & Harassment at U.S.Abortion Clinics, the number is 47. Of course, 47 includes bombing, arson, attempted bombing or arson.

I found another statistic odd. No arrests have been made at blockades since Bush came to power in 2000. I wonder if there is a correlation?

Finally after years of searching for him I found god in the most unlikely of places. Between my legs. It suddenly became apparent to me last night that my own penis is very much like the supposed God of the bible.

It has the power to create life as it brought my son into this world.

It has the power to perform miracles transforming itself from a 2 in flaccid
waste of space to a wonderful 8in pleasure giving work of art.

It is jealous and judgemental and doesn't like its followers worshiping other
penis'

It can be cruel and unkind by denying its love to imperfect people who do
not meet its expectations.

And finally even after doing bad things in your life if you bow down before it
and worship it...you shall be saved!!!

ALL HAIL THE MIGHTY PENIS!!!

Hello people,

Ok... for the most part, I agree with the freedom of speech being exercised by O'Reilly's show.

I say "for the most part" because I think it's worth philosophical discussion as to whether some of the propaganda and lies that are spewed out and branded as "fair and balanced" truth should be branded as criminal. I lean strongly against that idea, but I do think it's worth discussion in areas where he is damaging society.

That being said, the real problem I see here is the fact that people still watch his show, and thus take part in supporting it in continuing to be aired and supporting Bill O'Reilly's continued employment. I've stated before that as much as I dislike our president, I'm really mostly angry at the American people for re-electing him.

So I say again, just as I did for the president, shame on you America for your responsibility for Bill O'Reilly.
