Odd....
I haven't been around much as I am busy with finishing up undergrad and getting ready for PhD work..
But, has anybody seen www.rationalresponder.com?
They clearly pulled off a web name close to yours in an effort to grab some more believers on their way over to RRS' website...
I thought it was an underhanded and sneaky trick.

Well then that is sneaky....got to give them credit for doing it, even though it is underhanded, and well, down right kinda stupid statements in there. People are seeking truth, just not with the imaginary god in the sky, or himself as his son.
Doesn't that constitute a copyright violation? Why don't Christians obey Jesus when he says "render unto Caesar what belongs to Caesar?" Don't copyright laws belong to Caesar? Guess they ignore jesus when it isn't convenient. Guess they'll find out if the hell they like talking about is real.

When you buy a domain name through Network Solutions (or even just search for available domain names), they always offer a buttload of domain options that are close to the one you're looking for, with first and last letters omitted, numbers added, etc.
It doesn't really constitute a copyright violation unless they're using knock-offs of the logo or otherwise trying to impersonate this site.
Nobody I know was brainwashed into being an atheist.
Why Believe?
If they attempted to make themselves look like they could be the actual Rational Response Squad, which a clear case doesn't currently exist from the looks of the site, then they'd have a problem. The act of securing a domain name similar to someone else in an attempt to fool the site patron is called "cyber squatting." I don't think it must happen only with a copyright violation, although the two are often attached.

Oooooh. They want you to sign up saying that you won't deny god. And it takes the name instantly! I signed up! Check it out.
