Greetings from north Louisiana.

I just wanted to introduce myself and to invite contact from any other atheists in this part of the world.

I live in Winnfield (though that may change soon), but I'd enjoy hearing from any nonbelievers from anywhere near the Shreveport-Monroe-Alexandria triangle.

If you ever want to launch a coordinated effort to spread the godless word around here (such as was suggested in this post), let me know.

Welcome! Hope you'll settle

Welcome! Hope you'll settle in nicely.

Interestingly, I read that Louisiana has the highest national church attendance and twice the national murder average

Argument from Sadism: Theist presents argument in a wall of text with no punctuation and wrong spelling. Atheist cannot read and is forced to concede.

Here is something that you

Here is something that you might be able to help on.. Louisiana's antievolution bill under scrutiny
A day after the legislative session began in Louisiana, the sponsor of Senate Bill 561 was in the news, denying that the so-called academic freedom bill would pave the way for creationism to be taught in the state's public schools. According to the Baton Rouge Advocate (April 1, 2008), state senator Ben Nevers (D-District 12) said, "I believe that students should be exposed to both sides of scientific data and allow them to make their own decisions"

"Religious bondage shackles and debilitates the mind and unfits it for every noble enterprise."
