I especially found the last part of not receiving the effects of placebos quite enlightening. I don't know if I like that or not, but it does make ya think.

I hoping they will design experiment to see how true the people who claim belief really believe. Also, how much what people believe is affected by peer pressure.

I am pretty sure my stepdad doesn't believe, but he just goes to church because my mom makes him and he is fulfilling social obligations. I think there are a ton of people like that out there. A lot of people who don't really question the whole thing all that much and just go with the flow because it is acceptable, seen as normal, and provides a sense of community versus the ostracism of directly stating your lack of belief to your circle of friends, family, and acquaintences.
