More Twisted Thinking By Christians
On another site a woman asked a question about changing her doctor (actually it was a Chiropractor, not a real doctor) because he had posted a petition in his office to ban gay marriage. She said she was against prejudices and found that very unprofessional. Some Christards actually posted that SHE was being prejudiced against the "Doctor"' s beliefs by not going to him for that. I responded would they consider a person prejudiced against a doctor's beliefs if they refused to go to him for posting swastikas in his office and a petition to deport Jews to Israel - or one that posted a petition in his office to outlaw interracial marriage? I said if they wouldn't they were hypocrites and the only difference in this scenarios was based on "The mind disease known as religion." Any opinions?

Dead on.
Those were fairly accurate analogies in reference to the "currently acceptable" discrimination of one group to the now "currently unacceptable" discriminations of the past that were completely acceptable. The changing moral zeitgeist strikes again, but sometimes the winds of change can't uproot those who have buried their heads in the sand.

Loves me some Atheist Eve. It is really dead on here.
I actually hear alot of this from my family (the only people I'm not out to yet) about Atheism. I regularly get the circling spam about how Christianity is under attack and how they are discriminated against. The proposed solution? Atheists just need to learn to sit down, shut up, and let Christians have free run of their beliefs while the Atheist never speaks of or acts in accordance with their personal beliefs ever again.
We get to enjoy our freedoms of choice, expression, and speech... just so long as we don't disagree with the Ministry of Love... I mean Christian religion. Sharia Law anyone?

I also brought up about Chiropractic "medicine" being a pseudoscience.

I rented a room from a Chirotracter once. He was the single most unpricipled individual I have ever met. Among many personal flaws he also told me that he did not care if his "treatments" had any genuine benefit to his clients. What a fuck'n quack!
