It's nice to know that 41% don't give a shit about us, I suppose.

I bet the 7% who have a postive view of Scientologists are either Scientologists themselves or don't know anything about it. Or maybe their those types that think we should accept everything - up to unwilling human sacrafice.

I would seriously expect

I would seriously expect atheists to at least do better than muslim in America.Without getting into a extremist/not debate, surely most Americans would associate muslims with 9/11? Of course christians and muslims are united in their despising of the immoral atheist.

Yip,theists don't care what you believe,as long as you beleive something. That isn't Scientology

Hm. It's  interesting to

Hm. It's  interesting to note the ones that generated strong opinions -- the ones with the smallest percentage of "neutrals."  Scientologists and fundamentalists/evangelicals.

Of course, Catholics and Atheists are next in line.

Most theists think that without theism, people can't be moral.  Even theists who "see beauty in all religions" must adopt the belief that Islam is just misguided by fundamentalists, and that most Muslims are good people who, incidentally, are better than atheists because atheists eat babies.

This study makes me just as

This study makes me just as giddy as the study that most people hate Israel and Iran more than they hate the US.

Does lamb count?

Anyway, as long as Scientologists are taking the brunt of it, I'm happy. Any group of people who resorts to using psychological tricks to pick on the weak just to make a buck are scum. I don't care if they call themselves a religion.

I generally don't trust

I generally don't trust results of surveys like that, because so few people actually repond to them.

Quote:
"Natasha has just come up to the window from the courtyard and opened it wider so that the air may enter more freely into my room. I can see the bright green strip of grass beneath the wall, and the clear blue sky above the wall, and sunlight everywhere. Life is beautiful. Let the future generations cleanse it of all evil, oppression and violence, and enjoy it to the full."

i dont trust surveys anymore

i dont trust surveys anymore since i heard Ed Rendell say that he got a phone call asking him (for a survey in Pa about the election) for answer to " Do you think that you would vote more for Hillary now that Ed Rendell has endorsed her?" he said yes. But i mean when a survey calls the person in the survey like that i have lost any trust in surveys...

The Muslim bit is odd.  17%

The Muslim bit is odd.  17% favorable impression and yet there are very few Muslims in the United States, especially if you subtract the Elijah Muhammed/Louis Farrakhan sect, which most Islamic theologians of the three classical forms would.  Obviously most of the 13% for atheists is coming from actual atheists, but who (other than Muslims) actually has a favorable impression of Muslims?  I bet most of it is goodhearted atheists giving them the benefit of the doubt.

That's NEGATIVE 17%.  So 17% unfavorable.  Not 17% favorable.

I beg to differ.  The statistic is "total positive".  And for Muslims it's 17%.

As delighted as I am that

As delighted as I am that Yankericans hate us less than Scientologists it still shows a real lack of understanding about atheism. 45% still hate us, the same 45% I'd imagine, who believe the Earth to be less than 10,000 years old.

Ooooh.  I thought you meant the "net positive".  Them both being 17 and -17 threw me off about what you were saying.  My bad.

My favorite is a koababitten. Same thing as turducken, but with koalas, babies, and kittens.

Is delicious.
