Im going to sell my soul
Hemant Mehta was the first to sell his soul and I am going to follow in his footsteps. The auction went live a little while ago and i think it will be an interesting experience. The information can be found here.

I also added that if an atheist buys my soul all the earnings will be sent to an atheist organization. I didn't say it on the auction but if that does happen the RRS will be receiving the proceeds. I'm not doing it for publicity but I'm about to start college and shit is gets expensive. $10 an hour for sitting in church is more money than I make at Circuit City so i figure what the hell. This should get interesting over the next week so we will see where it goes. Feel free to spread the word.

I love it!
I'm taking the liberty of copying and pasting the description here because, frankly, a lot of people just don't follow external links. I think this is a great idea.
Ever wish you could do your part and save someone's soul? Well now is your chance. The auction will work like this:
1. For every $10 accumulated I will spend one hour in a church of the winners selected religion.
2. To keep track of my time I will be video logging all of my church visits as well as arranging a way for the winning bidder to keep track of me (ex. speaking to pastor).
3. All religions are fair game but a religion cannot require me to do anything that would break a law or harm anyone.
4. If the winner of my soul chooses me keep me an atheist for the time period ALL of the earnings will be donated to an atheist organization.
5. All of my time in churches will be spent in local churches and I will not be traveling. The winning bidder may select the church in my area that I will attend.
I made a video regarding the selling of my soul which can be seen here.

Personal Information:
I was raised a Christian but it was if i just went through the motions. I never took it seriously and most of my time in church was spent listening to music or sleeping. I recently turned 18 and have been an atheist for roughly the past 3 years. I see this as a good learning experience and religion is something I find very interesting. I do not plan on making problems at wherever I attend, I will be respectful and have a positive attitude. I will however ask questions because that is an important part of learning. I will be the first to admit that I may be wrong and that I do not know everything. If what you believe is true then where I spend eternity is at risk and can you really put a price on something like that?
Once the bidding is finished all purchases are final and there will be no returns.

You should create a little Certificate of Ownership, or deed, or title or something like that to go along with it. Put it on nice parchment paper and print it out at kinkos or something.
Your god's silence speaks loud and clear
Yea I think I will have to because I think there has to be an exchange of an actual item. Thats why at the end I included that I will mail them what they have won.

You'll have to let us know how it turns out. As far as the actual item exchange goes, I'm not sure that's nessecary. I sold two electronic giftcards on ebay. The winner got an email with the card numbers and pin. I didn't have any problems with it.
You said you'd be asking questions at church. Last church service I attended didn't have a Q and A session, so I don't know how that will work.

When I first joined the Navy I still considered myself a christian. However I met and befriended an atheist from Penn. I bought his soul for a $5 meal of burger and fries.
I kept it for years and years. But I think I lost it.

I think you may be on to something here...
Perhaps the RRS should produce a limited edition of Atheists Souls trading cards????
Auction them off...
LC >;-}>
Christianity: A disgusting middle eastern blood cult, based in human sacrifice, with sacraments of cannibalism and vampirism, whose highest icon is of a near naked man hanging in torment from a device of torture.
Or a gallery of the RRS members and their reasonably priced souls.
Psalm 14:1 "the fool hath said in his heart there is a God"-From a 1763 misprinted edition of the bible
Argument from Sadism: Theist presents argument in a wall of text with no punctuation and wrong spelling. Atheist cannot read and is forced to concede.
How many times can you sell your soul before people start accusing you of crying wolf? I think I've sold mine maybe four or five times. Maybe that's a lease.

For sale: One soul, well used, no longer in service. One careful owner(full church and pray history), well looked after.(Never been involved with demons.)
Reason for sale: upgraded to better life.

Ok well today I took down the auction due to the negativity from the friendlyatheist website, there bitching was starting to piss me off and I guess some people just don't have a sense of humor. I gave Hemant Mehta all the credit that was due but they were unhappy so whatever. I guess ill just have to find room in my closet for my soul until a later day.

There are times I think it's not really about atheism. That's disappointing to hear. So many panties getting bunched over the interwebs....
~sigh~
