Guess the gender
This is sparked from a topic on another board, of how it's difficult to guess the gender of a poster. Some say it's easy, some think it's difficult.
I don't think I revealed my gender here so.....
Let's start with mine. Then the next poster's unless it's obvious (Obvious name and/or own pic as avatar..)

I always assumed the good captain was female because the pic is always female. It confused me why some people always say "he" when refering to the cpt.
When playing 3rd person PS2 games I'll often choose female characters (if you are going to watch someone's but running around all day it may as well be female, plus they are often faster than the males), but I wouldn't choose a female picture to represent me on a forum because most people will assume I'm female.

When I first joined, I thought Cpt_pineapple was female...now I'm pretty sure pineapple is male.
Don't let me get in the way of your brother's inner girl-child, but the colour pink doesn't strike me as pre-pubescently female as does Sailor Moon. Maybe it's my Scrooge-like distaste for infantilism, but anime makes me gag just a little bit. Avril Lavigne only slightly less so.
Of course, I never really know what's going on in anime. It's like all the characters are lost and/or suffering from a mental disability that springs histrionically from Japanese school girls.

I think you are probably female based on comments in several threads and I don't think Dorothy would be ever played by a guy in any play. If you are a guy, liking Avril Lavigne doesn't make you gay nor does using it for an avatar. I like her but I wouldn't ever use her for an avatar, but that could just be an age thing.

If I had to guess your gender, Captain, I'd guess male. Maybe in part from the Sailor Moon avatar...
Unless Capt. Pineapple is inviting us to guess to which noun class the words "captain" or "pineapple" belong, his question should really be phrased "guess the sex". Gender used as a substitute for the word "sex" is not only normally reserved for prim matrons who think excrement described as "poo-poo" smells sweeter, but it is also just plain wrong.
