I presume you mean an atheist? It would be an embarassing error to have the above on your license plate.

"Physical reality” isn’t some arbitrary demarcation. It is defined in terms of what we can systematically investigate, directly or not, by means of our senses. It is preposterous to assert that the process of systematic scientific reasoning arbitrarily excludes “non-physical explanations” because the very notion of “non-physical explanation” is contradictory.

Just be careful you don't

Just be careful you don't get something too insulting. Many are the tales of people who whined and got a license plate revoked due to reading it badly.

Not to mention the possibility of vandalism to the car itself, by those "moral" citizens who may take offense at your freedom of expression.

I had my car egged just for a Clinton bumber sticker back in 92, so consider Christians can be even more vindictive in their message of peace.

How about:

FAHQGOD (try to sneak this one by)

ALL LIES

XTHEIST (don't know if you are)

A55 ORGY (Oh, wait - this one exists - in Florida.)

ATHE15T

Etc.

Or, you can go with my plate:  S55S5S.  Works like a charm when getting out of speeding tickets.

I used to be for personalized plates but now I am against them because of the neandrothal tripe about what can be put on a plate or not.

EVERY single one of us can buy a privately made bumpersticker, or window sign and display it.

This problem occures because people think "private" means out of view, when it merely means that the government does not provide aid to it for or against.

If people want "in god we trust|" on their car, FINE, just dont use the same government I pay taxes for to print it. Private industry doesnt mean out of view. If McDonnalds wanted to have a McJesus burger on their menu , or Hindues wanted a "McVeggi burger" on that same menu it would be up to the private company to decide who they market to.

I dont want our government playing favorites, thats all. People mistake "don't do that here" as a ban, when all it is is a regulation. Just like it would be absurd to play ice hockey on a football feild.

The same fucking mentality comes from home owners and renters. They think that since they paid for something, that intitles them to blast loud music at 1am which disturbes the rest of the neighborhood.

We have become a nation of spoild brats who think we are entitled something just because we are rich or poor or because of the religious club we claim.

The cost to the tax payer for wanting a college team emblem, or "horse lover" or " I like collecting lint" is superfluous garbage which creates more beurocrates who have to play refferee when deciding what or what cannot be put on a plate.

Why not go down the street to your favorite store and buy a bumpersticker or get online and buy a decal that doesn't involve government funding that displays the message you convey?

I am quite sure that no one gave a shit that I had a personalized plate that said "Benatar"(meaning Pat Benatar) and looking back at it now, I realize how stupid I was in contributing to personalized plates. I had pleanty of posters, and t-shirts and patched jean jacket that I purchased in the business sector. I did not need my government to print the name of the rock star that I liked at that time.

Actually, personalized

Actually, personalized plates MAKE the state money. The cost of producing one compared to a regular plate with random letters/numbers is miniscule. And they charge a much higher fee for a personalized plate than a standard one.

So if goverment wanted to issue "In Allah We Trust" you'd be ok with that ?

How about we stick to numbers and letters and when we want to promote or bitch or complain, we use the business sector to decorate our cars?

South Carolina is now issuing "In God We Trust" plates. I'd like to see you, if you lived there, to try and get those Christian beurocrats to issue "There Is No God" plates. If we are arguing fairness then some of our money should have printed on it, "In Yahwey We Trust" while other bills should have printed on them, "In Allah We Trust".

Why should the state get more money when both parties waste it? I think I know better how to spend my money than some beurocrate whom I dont know.

It is not an infringement on anyones free speech to have neutral ground. Those, and I have seen atheists do it too, who cry foul, are assuming that they have right to do it anywhere and all the time.

There is a difference between a ban on something, than a regulation which addresses when, where and how. There is no ban on owning a Porshe, but if you speed at 75 in a 25 zone you are going to get a ticket.

We don't outlaw porn, but we aslo dont sell it to 6 year olds.

It is a good idea to protect free speech, but it is a bad idea to assume that that means that both the atheist and theist is intitled to force government to play favorites to either.
