Introducing myself, hope you don't mind.
Hello, freethinkers. I'm Vince, from (and in) Sweden. I'm new here. Not new to atheism, though. I kinda figured that whole thing out myself when I was something like four and a half, which was not long after I started hearing about religion (so I guess technically I was already an atheist by default). It all sounded very suspicious to me right away, and after finding out that there's more than one religion and they all were created without evidence before people even knew what a planet was, it was settled. It's clearly all made up. That never changed, spite people trying to "explain" religion to me. In such irrational ways that I had a hard time even believing that they themselves believed it. For a while, I honestly thought people were trying to put one over on me, like they did to other kids with the whole Santa thing. And then I realized that these people actually believe this stuff. And I laughed. At them. It was just so ridiculous to me. A lot of 'em tried, over the years, to change my mind, 'cause they thought I just hadn't heard the convincing argument. But they all gave the same arguments. And they were crap. So here I am, something like 21 and a half years old, unconvinced. And I'm starting to get really sick and tired of all the nonsense. So hi. Let's beat this thing.

Hey Vince. Glad to have you.
Hi, and welcome.
From the tone and content of your post, I think you'll like it here.
I also never took the religious crap seriously.

HI VincentEL!
Welcome
I too realized at a young age that something just didn't smell right with the whole god/jesus/heaven story...And of course you know what you do with something that doesn't smell right? Spice it up to cover up the stink or throw that shit out!

I was probably 5 or 6 before it even occurred to me to ask why my friends weren't available on Sundays for road hockey. The next ten or so years I was shaking my head in disbelief.
Welcome.
