Sarah Palin says, 'Since we know the popular vote is against us, we'll just cheat!'

...Or, at least, that's wht the following words from this article scream in my ears:

Quote:

"...putting this in God's hands, that the right thing for America will be done at the end of the day on Nov. 4."

...Putting it, 'in God's hands'? What's that supposed to mean? I'm pretty sure that ol' G-dawg isn't a resident of the United States and can't himself cast a balot.

Appealing to the supernatural, to me, tends to be a telltale sign that you're about to do something you know you shouldn't.

Quote:
"Natasha has just come up to the window from the courtyard and opened it wider so that the air may enter more freely into my room. I can see the bright green strip of grass beneath the wall, and the clear blue sky above the wall, and sunlight everywhere. Life is beautiful. Let the future generations cleanse it of all evil, oppression and violence, and enjoy it to the full."

Not the First Time

I'm sure it wouldn't be the first time that the religious right has tried to hijack an election.  Though politics being as they are I wouldn't put it past either side to do something to rig the election.

I've worried about voter

I've worried about voter fraud the last 2 elections myself. That being said, I find our electoral college system as adequate for electing government officials. People bitch about the system when their candidate doesn't get the electoral vote but gets the popular vote. No one would ever complain if the same candidate got the electoral vote but not the popular vote. The system works even if we see it as a subversion of democracy. Hello..... the US is not a true democracy and the will of the people is not always a good thing to have as it's mob rule.

Electors are not experts in

Electors are not experts in anything, they are no more qualified to decide who becomes president than the average rube. The electoral college is mob rule, just by a smaller more easily controlled mob. That's why sometimes the right man for the job has to be the least popular of two contrived choices.

What I find funny, is that

What I find funny, is that even though they are leaving it in gods hands... Once they lose, they will still inevitably feel as though they should have won... In other words, if their own test showed that God chose Obama, they would still feel as if they were cheated themselves.

Did you guys see this idiot

Did you guys see this idiot Arnold Conrad at a McCain rally praying that his god makes things go McCain's way in order to save face against the other gods that are supposedly being prayed to by Obama supporters?
