Hi all! I'd just liked to introduce myself. I've been lurking these forums for the past few days andfinally decided to sign up. Anywho, a little backstory on myself:

I was raised christian but I think I've always been agnostic in the sense that I believed in some higher power or order to the universe rather than doctrine and scripture or a zombie rabbi that I was supposed to symbollically eat. When I was around 13 I had my first bout of major depressive disorder which is when I finally decided to deny any sort of god or supreme being (though I do believe it is impossible to know for sure, I guess that mekes me an agnostic atheist). Luckily I have a very accepting family, it makes my mother sad that I am faithless and my dad is a closet atheist so I guess it's all right. I'm 16 now and still suffering from major depression, I've been on at least 7-8 different meds with little effect and had a good three years of cognitive talk therapy getting almost nowhere.

Thanks to my low motivation and a host of other mental/emotional problems my Highschool career has suffered accordingly. If I had my way though and I could attend a good uni straight out of highschool I'd want to go into some area of physics. But anyway thats a small tid-bit about me, I look forward to embracing this online community as I'm the only atheist of my age I know, all my peers are pretty religious... but I'm not going to try to change them, they have their rights to believe what they want and as long as they respect mine I'll respect theirs.
