I Blame RRS...
for my new found agression towards theists! Also, thanks for helping me cure my partner of his theistic tendencies...
I'm new here and just wanted to say hey... been reading posts for awhile now and decided to join.

"Aggression" how?
I am balls to the wall no holds bard in debate, as most will tell you at this website. But, I do not see my detractors as being sub human or a different species. I apreciate theists who take the punches without taking it personally nor would I seek blasphmey laws to prevent them from saying things that offend me.
I am a big boy and can handle my own battles, but I don't see those battles as having to lead to real physical blows. I would like to see the day when theism is treated alot like a an NFL game between friendly rival fans who wont beat the crap out of each other if one looses.
So while I understand your frustration with absurd claims, and I don't think you have to "take it anymore", do realize that even those within your relm of family and friends do believe and there are beyond that 6 billion people who will not agree on all things all the time.

My apologies for the misunderstanding... I was using the term aggression in the sense of "overt or suppressed hostility, either innate or resulting from continued frustration and directed outward or against oneself."
I am much more aggressive in my debates, or my vocalization of my disbelief since coming to these forums and realizing that, though I may be a minority... I am by no means alone.
In my attempt at humor, I apparently erred in my choice of words.

I agree! I blame the RRS for all of my anger and aggression! It's all your fault. I was just a mild mannered, unassuming doormat until I joined this forum... Feels great not to be responsible for my actions anymore...

Wait until it turns into pity.
When it's an evangelist/rabbi/imam that has capitalized on people believing, it sucks. Think about the massive letdown those people experience. Right then, I pity them and hate their religion. When they leave the 'faith' after something like that, I welcome them.
I have no such emotion with regard to other atheists.
