In The Eyes of a Ranger, Your Nation is Definitely a Christian Nation...

...And apparently a 2nd Revolutionary War needs to be sparked to topple the Obama administration (or, at the very least, have Texas secede from the country once again).

Props to Renee for pointing this one out to me.

Fucking Chuck Norris.

Quote:
"Natasha has just come up to the window from the courtyard and opened it wider so that the air may enter more freely into my room. I can see the bright green strip of grass beneath the wall, and the clear blue sky above the wall, and sunlight everywhere. Life is beautiful. Let the future generations cleanse it of all evil, oppression and violence, and enjoy it to the full."

Beat him to the punch.

I say we treat this like a break-up. Let's kick Texas out of the union. What has Texas done for us lately, anyway?

Could we exile Bush and his whole cabinet to Texas?  Actually, could we make them take Utah with them?  I think the U.S. would be better off without Utah, too.

 Oh my...

Vastet, you just made my brain go flip.  I've never met a Texan who could tolerate the French or Canadians.  I'm pretty sure Texuebec would be the most amusing alliance in the history of mankind.

And let them hold Austin Texas hostage? No thanks.

I all seriousness guys, this panic crap about states suceeding is a minority  of nut cases. I think most Americans want the union to stay together.

Good point. I just spent three days in Austin, on the lake. Beautiful, and very peaceful. And the BBQ (the whole point off the trip) was excellent. They do know how to smoke their meat. (A phrase that sounds dirty, but isn't.)

It seems to me that Nasa and Houston would also have to be kept part of the US. Texas gets smaller and smaller.

A friend of mine suggested

A friend of mine suggested we could sell Texas to Mexico. "We could use the money," he said.

Since when does Mexico have any money?  Don't tell me they've opened up that secret trove of cursed Aztec gold.

Stupid Canadian brought a sword to a gun fight.

On a serious note... Fuck Texas.

It condemns to death the criminals, for which the other states are too much pansy. However, my sources doesn't say which one of Chuck Norris' legs is used to kick their heads off seven yards away. Law, or Order?

Eh... this is actually for the first time I read that Chuck Norris is an activist, that he actually takes seriously for what he acts, the  well estabilished combination of blind faith and violence. How can he be so stupid? He doesn't seem to actually want to uncover and tear away the roots of drug industry, crime and religiosity. He just kicks out the small-time crooks, but leaves the big bosses be, so there are always some left for the next episode of Walker Texas Ranger

Meh, I just think the other states are smart enough to not execute so many innocent people. 1/3 of all the people who have been executed in Texas have been proved innocent after the execution. I remember seeing the statistics for it a number of years ago.

Wow, that's terrible. I meant that originally with a great sarcasm, but 1/3 of them? Holy shit, does that also count the countryside lynching and witch burning?
With an enlightened government, the criminals can be a valuable resource. The greatest or most frequent baddies should be given to the care of professional psychiatric teams, who will find out the causes of their misbehavior and will let the government know. The  government should afterwards make a precautions to make that not happen again. But Texas wastes also this natural resource.

   One needn't rely upon

One needn't rely upon the influence of folksy, redneck Christian "family values" to support capital punishment.  Even modern-day Japan (   hardly a bastion of Judeo/Christian ethics and certainly not considered an uneducated, backwards thinking culture ) still enacts death sentences for certain crimes.  Since December of 2006 they have executed more than 30 individuals...by hanging.
