Interesting. So North Dakontans are...liars? What are they being extraverted about if they're not being open?
Nobody I know was brainwashed into being an atheist.
Why Believe?
I guess they just sit around and agree with each other.
Come on now. I'm sure you know lots of extraverted liars.
Tennessee doesn't fit the numbers in relation to the other four states in which I've lived.
Alaska scares me.
Extroversion 49
Agreeableness 51
Conscientiousness 51
Neuroticism 47
Openness 49
Soooooo, Alaskans are obnoxious assholes that don't give a damn if they hurt you, but they worry about it and tell you what they're thinking about. Methinks the sample is flawed.
"Gee you sure are a purty thing. I think I'll drag you out into the woods and let my dogpack have a go at you before I kill you for grizzly bait. I hope that's ok. If it ain't then it ain't no matter. Won't no one find you 'til spring anyway, sweety."

Nope. I'm an obnoxious Eskimo asshole.
Where're you from, treat? I was born and raised in Alaska. Hell, I didn't have a non-AK drivers license until four years ago, when I moved to Ohio.

My igloo is in Astook.
Where was your igloo?
Yep.
Either the sample or the entire premise seems flawed.

Didn't you post this before? Or did I post it? Or was that on another forum...
I know I've seen this before, and it's damn interesting. I lived in Mississippi for a while. I agree with the researchers. I certainly agree about Georgia.
For anyone who has never been to North Dakota, it's easy enough to explain why the people there are so agreeable and extraverted. In most of ND, it's uncommon to encounter another human for at least ten miles in any direction from your current position. That's because it's fucking cold and the terrain really sucks for building cities. People are so happy to have someone new to talk to, they'll pretty much humor you as long as you're not trying to anally rape them and kill them. And who knows... you might get a few takers on those, too... I'd probably be ready for death if I had to live in ND for very long. It might be worth taking one for the team just to be done with life.
Atheism isn't a lot like religion at all. Unless by "religion" you mean "not religion". --Ciarin

I was born in an igloo in Ketchikan, and lived in an igloo in Thorne Bay for a while. Then Anchorage (yech), Fairbanks, back to Ketchikan, and then an igloo in Sitka, until about four years ago, when it melted due to the rain. So, mostly southeast.
It's good to see a cantankerous Alaskan here.

So you know how much the pipeline has disrupted my annual migration. It's getting tough here.
Nowdays, even the polar bears are getting to the dumpsters before I can get my daily provisions.
