Steel Panther

These guys kick ass.

Now I know the people that see themselves as serious music/metal afficiandos might say "it's shit/parody/not worthy of interest".  As well as being a chemist I'm a student of music and I have one message for you music snobs regardless of genre... lighten up.  This is one amazing joke Smiling

I highly recommend that fans of metal, especially 80's/early 90's metal. acquire their album.

Ha ha, I loved it.  The lyrics are f**king brilliant and it kicks ass musically.   In the words of Garth Algar ..."Party on, dude !!"

I just wish it wasn't so

I just wish it wasn't so self conscious.  Still, very funny video.  Brings to mind the question, where would metal be without a jock-class to rebel against (and cheerleaders to lust after)?

See, this is my point:  People read too much into this sort of thing: "It's too self concious"... "It relates too heavliy to band X"...."even if it's parody it relies too heavily on the influence of band Y"....  can't we just accept parody for what it is?
