brad pitt

ON GOD:

BILD: Do you believe in God?
Brad Pitt (smiling): "No, no, no!"

BILD: Is your soul spiritual?
Brad Pitt: "No, no, no! I'm probably 20 per cent atheist and 80 per cent agnostic.

People who think there is something they refer to as god don't ask enough questions.

not really shocking

angelina doesn't seem to be the religious type (I think more spiritual but not religious per se), nor is George Clooney actually he's an atheist as well.

I heard somewhere that

I heard somewhere that Angelina is an atheist, too, but I might be confusing her with someone else.

I was hoping this thread was about how hot Brad Pitt is. Because he is beautiful beyond words.

What the hell does spiritual actually mean,I hear people use that word a lot,but it makes me think of ghost and illusions and magicians. It's like a escape word ,people who use it don't want to have other people to think that they're heathens or dare we says Atheist. Apollo forbid.

I used to call myself "spiritual agnostic". Keep in mind I held no real belief in god for the first 30 years of my life and I remained ignorant to what "atheist" meant. When I stumbled upon the interwebz about 8 years ago that A word seemed so...fly swatter to fly...I wanted something a bit more butterflies and rainbows.  hehehehe

At the time spiritual for me meant being aware of self and the only master, me.

So he is 20% an

So he is 20% an atheist? Does that mean that he believes in 20% less of god than theists do? That could be a marketing ploy for a new religion:

Try the new “god lite” Now with 20% less hell for all the sinners.

I have no clue, that's what she stated of her self that she was spiritual but not religious and didn't believe in god.

The rest of his comment

The rest of his comment (translation mine) reads: "... I don't think anybody knows. You'll find out when you get there -- or not. Until then, there's no use in speculating."

So it sounds as though he's an atheist, he's just not letting on. Maybe to a German paper he'd let that out, but I'm betting if Uhmerica finds out, he'll be backpedalling, and saying he's "spiritual", or some other garbage.

As an aside, Google translate is terrible:

My typical day as a dad?
Früh raus = "early out."? Try "Up early."

Frühstück machen. = "Breakfast"? No, "make breakfast". Shit, that's literal.

Kinder anziehen. = "Attract children." ??? How did you even ...

Let's stop there.

The only reason I could think of was that it was in German, and I need the practice. Otherwise ... yeah.

Celebrities are the new god. The world is in a transition period now between god being a character in ancient middle eastern folklore to no god. Hollywood celebrities and sport stars are the transition gods.

Taxation is the price we pay for failing to build a civilized society. The higher the tax level, the greater the failure. A centrally planned totalitarian state represents a complete defeat for the civilized world, while a totally voluntary society represents its ultimate success. --Mark Skousen
