Well, if you want to install stuff, far be it for me to stop you. However, that link is for no install needed stuff. Heck but you can unpack it and copy just the unpacked folder directly to a thumb drive. Do that and you will have a copy of firefox with a new button in the bottom right. When the button is green, you are proxied. It does not automatically put you on a US proxy but it is easy enough to change proxies by switching it off and back on.
Bring the thumb drive to work and when you want to do stuff that you know you should not be doing, use that copy of firefox. Unless the network is setup for “ultra paranoid nuclear secrets contained within”, no traces of your activity will be kept to come back and haunt you.
