I know we have one on music, but music videos are in their own right art.
What are your favorite music videos guys?

This is obligatory here.
I'm going to have to include this one as well.
Sorry for just the links. Hope they work. These are a couple of music videos that have stuck with me through the years. I first saw them on MTV back when Martha Quinn was just starting out as a VJ. They're good dance songs (...ahhh, memories of the 80's and my red-headed, bi-sexual girlfriend )

The Sword is a pretty good band, and this is a pretty good video:
Meshuggah has far too growly vocals for me to get into, but their drummer is a master of that instument and this video is so trippy that I think it has some merit as far as weird-for-weird's sake goes:
Franz! Franz Kafka! A silly rock opera tribute to Franz Kafka, brought to you by the old cartoon Home Movies and the surprisingly musically talented Brendon Small:
Another one by Brendon Small, that guy who makes the awesome cartoon Metalocalypse. This cartoon plays on cartoon network late at night, but in my opinion it is a NSFW cartoon with intentionally over-the-top violence and it intentionally degrades women as sexual objects. This is all done in a joking and comedic manner, but be warned:
"You say that it is your custom to burn widows. Very well. We also have a custom: when men burn a woman alive, we tie a rope around their necks and we hang them. Build your funeral pyre; beside it, my carpenters will build a gallows. You may follow your custom. And then we will follow ours."

Well as far as art in video's,I say Michael Jackson's " Just leave me alone "," Thriller","Man in the Mirror" and "Dirty Diana" along with so many other ones that he did.I also dug Peter Gabrial's work.I also like video's on YouTube of Jimi Hendrix "Machine Gun" live at Woodstock, "Voodoo Chile" and his 1970 version of "Foxy Lady"
Signature ? How ?
Wrong Hole. Classic to be.

^This one too
Well, from an atheist perspective, I am quite taken with the song “tainted love”. Check the lyrics out.
It probably does not do much for people who were born into atheism but for former theists, the line “once I ran to you, now I run from you” has some meaning.

I could have sworn that you would be a 4chan type of guy.

Well that was disturbing beyond all reason.
adorable? check
reliable? check
ass-bandit? question mark
I love that music video. It is the perfect deconstruction of rap videos. The grill, the pimped out absurd car, the sluts... I don't appreciate it for it lyrics or music so much as for the absurd presentation of rap video tropes.
Here is a music video by the 2nd best currently working comedian and number 1 metal fan in the world:
Posehn (lovingly, I suppose) pokes fun at metal videos and songs:
"You say that it is your custom to burn widows. Very well. We also have a custom: when men burn a woman alive, we tie a rope around their necks and we hang them. Build your funeral pyre; beside it, my carpenters will build a gallows. You may follow your custom. And then we will follow ours."

here's my current fave, just in time for christmas, off the craziest and most random album i've seen in years:
then there's sister rosetta tharpe. i've posted this many times, and it's not really a music video in the "modern sense," but it might possibly be the greatest performance ever caught on film. even if you don't like gospel (and if you don't, i might seriously question your ability to hear period), at least hang on till the solo:
"I have never felt comfortable around people who talk about their feelings for Jesus, or any other deity for that matter, because they are usually none too bright. . . . Or maybe 'stupid' is a better way of saying it; but I have never seen much point in getting heavy with either stupid people or Jesus freaks, just as long as they don't bother me. In a world as weird and cruel as this one we have made for ourselves, I figure anybody who can find peace and personal happiness without ripping off somebody else deserves to be left alone. They will not inherit the earth, but then neither will I. . . . And I have learned to live, as it were, with the idea that I will never find peace and happiness, either. But as long as I know there's a pretty good chance I can get my hands on either one of them every once in a while, I do the best I can between high spots."
