Noah was an asshole
With all his neighbours drowning - women and children included - Noah battens down the hatches, plugs his ears with goat's cheese and refuses to indulge himself in an opportunity for the
best "I-told-you-so" moment of all time. Instead of doing the morally right thing he lets his neighbours die. Far from being a righteous man, Noah was an asshole.

Ask yourselves this question. Would you kill for god if he told you to?
It's like the women who kill their children because they believe that God is commanding them to.
It's all a load of crap, especially when you see people trying to defend God despite the fact that he killed 1/3 as many people as Hitler did in the Bible alone, and that's only counting instances in which a specific number was given.
Would I kill for god if he told me to? I probably would on the condition that he agrees to both testify at my trial and serve my jail term if I'm convicted.

I live in the great state of Connecticut. So if I kill because god told me to I get to go to the cush place that all the defective people from the first two seasons of the X-Files were sent to. Specifically, Whiting Forensic.

Well the Christian would simply say : God told Noah to preach the word.... and the others failed to listen, so God closed the door..then it was too late..
Noah's story is a scare tactic...Now we have the rapture to take the place of the flood.
Really when it comes down to it ....Noah is not at fault for killing off the countless so called millions of people..GOD is.
You know I had a debate as of late with a nutjob who really believed the Noah's flood story. And I ask this person... if God didn't want all humanity..except Noah's clan then why not fix the sperm of all humans so they couldn't have children and multiple? Why destroy the world with a flood? I mean any logical "so called dumb human ...if comparing to the so called omniscient god of the Bible" thinking human could have like 1,000 other ways of getting rid of a population beside having a flood... The flood really is a story to show how stupid this god is.
Also drowning is a horrible way of death... Ohh I forgot the Christians serve such a loving god..
Relates to the fact that around 8000 years ago sea levels rose - a lot. Typically human settlements of the day were close to rivers for obvious reasons. The inundation was then passed down word of mouth and echoes in mythology like this noah's ark thing.
In the context of the myth I agree god did it but there was still an onus on noah to do the right thing by his neighbours when they were actually at risk. By ignoring their plight he undermined his righteousness in my eyes and is a terrible example for christians who can turn their backs on their neighbours who don't agree with them.
Of course, what's interesting too, is how noah got down the amazon and africa and picked up all those fanged creatures with just 3 or 4 people to help him.
