Quotes from RRS posters of the year. Unofficial.

I was curious as to what some of the best quotes from RRS posters you liked. They can be serious. They can be funny. They can be the ridiculous things theists say.

I submit this quote from eXnihilo

"God both created logic (as we know it) and sustains it...and logic in its ultimate form is an attribute of God. As mentioned, we both presuppose logic, and my proof is that by asking me these questions you are appealing to logic to do so, using logic to do so, and then you expect a logical answer. We both presuppose logic, but the one that can't justify it commits the fallacy, and that sir, is not I."

I submit another quote from eXnihilO

"The Bible is the only one we know of that is infallible; it’s the one I use. Any statement that is not in harmony with the Bible is so obviously in error it’s funny."

I submit this classic remark from Paisley

"I don't believe everyone has actually watched the video."

You folks have all been in

You folks have all been in school... Cite your sources!!!

Seriously, though.  Do the little  -- Person's Name    thing at the end.  It'd be even better if you'd link to the thread.

I think this thread is a great idea.  I'm submitting my own signature.

And I also want to nominate Hamby's recent reflection...

"I have faced my own mortality more than once.  I am comforted by the fact that when death comes for me, it'll be one big step, and then it'll all be done. I will never again feel pain, hunger, sadness, loss, or fear. I will once again be a part of the expanding and ever-changing universe, of which I have been a part since its inception. I, among all the potential humans carried in the bodies of my mother and father, was lucky enough to experience life, and I have done my best to experience it well and thoroughly. My death will both separate me and unite me with the universe. When I die, I will have lived the best that I could, and experienced more joy than the trillions of other eggs and sperm who never get the chance. I am lucky. I am privileged, and I am honored. I take my stroke of dumb luck very seriously, and I feel like I owe it to myself to make the most of it."

I'm not sure whether that is more funny than scary or vice versa.

I think it is scary that someone takes archaic writing to be infallible over observed reality and considers everything that conflicts with it to be in error. That type of reasoning or should I say lack of reasoning has more in common with the Middle Ages than a modern society. This comes from a poster, eXnihilO that is trying hard to be our big brother and bring us heathen infidel heretics back to Jesus. This kind of comment convinced me he had cotton in his ears and was wearing blinders. Or he is like the little kid and Santa, I know he's real, I know he's real.

If you haven't read his logic and reasoning visit the thread - A More Important Question, starting from Post #7.

Or the thread he started called Atheist Indictment: Logic

Here's another 2009 classic for the OP

"I am a Believer in a God who loves not condemns that is not to say He doesn't punish but because He loves us He just wants us to have the best, so since we have been separated from paradise ever since man disobeyed His creator it is easy to understand why man feels a need to obtain paradise as portrayed in the Bible but it is attainable and He wants to restore paradise here on Earth but until then He must wait until the Gospel has fully reached the outer most parts of our globe. And we are very close to that with the technology we have today. When a tribe in the amazon forest starts having iphones and digital billboards popping up in their neck of the woods...I believe you will then witness the Messiahs' return as predicted..."

Somehow with Badway

that works. His mad prose flows like Kerouac's original scroll, off on some wild journey through the dark he knows not where...
