Wow. Tool use and environment modification seems to be far more basic that we thought. Not only are such behaviors showing up earlier amongst the human ancestral line,but we discovering real tool use outside the line, even among invertebrates.
Kind of makes us a little less "special".
It's almost as if every time we assume there's some reason to be proud of ourselves, it turns out to be nothing special.
