God has a plan.....apparently...
It is apparently the thought of some christians(my mother included) that God obviously made the earthquake in Haiti happen or 'let' it happen for a reason. They say that life in Haiti was shit before the earthquake anyway(which is sorta true) but that now they're gonna get a lot of international help and attention. Yup. All of it was God's plan. I gotta tell ya, for someone who's omnipotent and omniscient he thought up a pretty shitty way of getting people to pay attention to Haiti.
Oh, and they for some reason seem to omit the estimated 100K deaths... wonder why....

Or the people who at this moment are still trapped under rubble with no feed, no water, and no way to escape the extremely slow agonizing death being given to them by their all loving creator... which so clearly doesn't exist.

Stop it guys, you are just angry at God. Just because you had no choice in being born and weren't asked for consent, and just because he blames you for what Eve did, and just because he could have, because he is all powerful, could have done things without all the drama, that's no reason to be angry.
(Note to atheists reading this: It couldn't be that we don't believe in this god and are merely "angry" at the poor use of logic that leads humans to make these placebo gods up to placate their emotions.) IT COULDNT BE THAT!
I mean, who wouldn't want to hire a baby sitter that stuck a kid in a house with asbestos, razor blades, broken glass, ecoli, downs syndrom, child cancer and pedeophiles and chose to save some, but said to others, "Sorry kid, your on your own, I have to allow you to suffer, so that you can kiss my ass in heaven, not that that would get boring, because I could simply manipulate you like a puppit to suit my whims, after all YOU ARE MY PROPERTY!
I saw a clip the other day where a reporter was talking to a kid whose leg was crushed and she was stuck there. And they didn't have any help to get the rubble off and if they did, they also didn't have any medical aid if they did free her and they were debating as to cutting her leg off on the spot. AND THAT would have to have been done WITHOUT anesthesia. And according to believers big daddy up in the sky sits with folded arms while this innocent girl writhes in pain. And had so for TWO days.

I have seen estimates that over 500 million in aid was pledged within the first couple of weeks. That's about 10 percent of haiti's gdp. Imagine a God that could have got that kind of money into haiti without all the death and destruction.
I also feel bad for all of the other countries with 80%+ of their population below the poverty line. God has already used the earthquake so he has set a high standard of carnage that he is going to have to beat to get people interested in all of the other dozens of poor countries. Remind me to stay out of Bangladesh because they are so screwed.
