Well, as a republican, I get those things in the mail several times a year. Honestly, the questions are so batshit insane that I don't see how anyone can be duped into thinking that they really are an official census document.
Sure, the outside of the mailer may say what it says but then how much junk mail, which claims to be an 'official' document, do we all receive from companies wanting to sell us crap that we don't need (one of my favorites as a condo dweller is attempts to make me buy pool chemicals). The thing is that once you get it open and you see the crap that is in it, you would have to be a moron to think that it was anything other than a fund raiser.
Seriously, I don't happen to have one handy to copy questions from but they are not an instrument for collecting anyone's opinions on anything at all. The questions are so damned leading that even Al Franken would have no choice but to provide the answers that are clearly being fished for. At most, they could be seen as a directive to follow the herd mentality.
When I get my copy, I will try to remember to post it here. They really are hysterical.
One thing that bugs me on this story though is the letter to the postmaster general written by the two democrats.
Come on! Perhaps the useful idiots of the world could read that and then run around telling each other that there is some law that is being broken. However, this is a real official letter from congressional representatives to the postmaster general. If the authors really believe that there is a specific law being violated, then say what that law is. If they cannot do that, then I would assume that the letter was written specifically for the purpose of being generally released so that the useful idiots can engage in a FUD alert over the matter.

You'd think after all the growing awareness of "junk mail" in society people would get it, but even I have seen stuff that has made me pause. It is still dishonest.

Only thing is that it is not the normal bat shit insane crap they usually send out. Whoever wrote the questions on this obviously did not get the memo about how to write these things. Normally, what I get has questions like:
1. Do you support or oppose the president's attempt to destroy traditional family structure?
2. Do you support or oppose the president's agenda to weaken our ability to defend ourselves from imminent threats of terrorist attacks?
and other similar crap.

In response to these 2 questions a typical response from a Rethug should be:
1. I feel marriage should be only what God has ordained, a weak willed submissive woman preferably at least 20 years younger than the man who obeys all that the man orders. When she gets fat or ugly she should be divorced and left penniless and replaced with an even younger version. Since I believe the government should stay out of Americans lives only in financial ways not in regards to individual rights, I clearly support all government interference in the area of personal choice and freedoms. No one should be allowed to make personal choices in regards to marriage, health, drug use, pornography, gambling, prostitution or even religious belief. God has determined these are sinful and the Government has the right to enforce God's will on the people. Of course, this does not apply to the ruling elite of the party who are free to misuse Oxycontin or any other drug and give blow jobs in airport restrooms as well as fly to South America at public expense for extramarital affairs. If they are caught in any acts such as doing meth with a male hooker, all that is needed is to repent to God and ask for forgiveness and all is well. If a Liberal Commie Democrat does anything such as support equal rights for gays or women clearly they are supporting the erosion of morals of the country and want to force secular rights and freedoms on all of us. Clearly big brother can determine what is right for each citizen except of course in the area of money.
2. Obviously I support weakening the military so another terrorist attack occurs it will allow many more emergency actions on the part of the government and make it virtually certain the next President will be a Republican most likely Sarah Palin with Rush Limbaugh as her Vice-President.
