The Rational Response Squad is a group of atheist activists who impact society by changing the way we view god belief. This site is a haven for those who are pushing back against the norm, and a place for believers of gods to have their beliefs exposed as false should they want to try their hand at confronting us. But wait! There is still more!
Seriously, I googled that train wreck and it seems that not only did she end up taking the money but she came back the following season for a second dip at the cash.
=
She scares me...I need a hug.
I hate the show WifeSwap. But I made a special exception for the two crazy episodes that woman was in. I can't emphasize the crazy enough. Even her huspand called her a "bullshit warrior." But this "god warrior" will protect us from the dark side, shleyekicks (psychics?), gharghiles (gargoyles?) and witches. So I guess that's a benefit to having her around.
"You say that it is your custom to burn widows. Very well. We also have a custom: when men burn a woman alive, we tie a rope around their necks and we hang them. Build your funeral pyre; beside it, my carpenters will build a gallows. You may follow your custom. And then we will follow ours."
British General Charles Napier while in India
*small hug to boot* That nut case isn't religious. She uses religion has a weapon to control every aspect of any interaction she engages in. She would later calm down and take the money; twice over; with the excuse of spreading the word and taking money from the ungodly.
"Very funny Scotty; now beam down our clothes."
VEGETARIAN: Ancient Hindu word for "lousy hunter"
If man was formed from dirt, why is there still dirt?
That is all the crazy, right there.
This is what I liked about wife-swap and why I watched it, it always pushed the envelope like this and placed the people involved in the most ironic situations. They made rich women live as poor, the lazy ones got landed with a big workload and the religious surrounded by their worst nightmare of unbelief. I thought it was a great show and this was one of my favourite eps, her reaction is priceless, and perhaps a good deterrent from obsessive religiosity for the watcher by showing what a prize idiot it makes out of you.

Money for teh win!
She should pray for a salad.
Edit: Ok, that was a cheap shot...you know, the salad. She should actually pray for anger management.
Dolt:"Evolution is just a theory."
Me:"Yes, so is light and gravity. Pardon me while I flash this strobe while dropping a bowling ball on your head. This shouldn't bother you; after all, these are just theories."
This thread is why I don't worship at the altar of the "Metal God" (television), unless it's to catch the fifth season of Dexter, or Sopranos reruns. It's become an endless stream of meaningless BS.
“A meritocratic society is one in which inequalities of wealth and social position solely reflect the unequal distribution of merit or skills amongst human beings, or are based upon factors beyond human control, for example luck or chance. Such a society is socially just because individuals are judged not by their gender, the colour of their skin or their religion, but according to their talents and willingness to work, or on what Martin Luther King called 'the content of their character'. By extension, social equality is unjust because it treats unequal individuals equally.” "Political Ideologies" by Andrew Heywood (2003)
My morning ritual, upon entering into my office time, is to have coffee while reading my emails and the news.
Some joker sent me the link to that clip and I quite literally dropped my jaw in awe. Wow! Just... wow.
That line... "She's not a CHRIIIIIISTIAAAAN !!" - combined with the facial expression of that mad cow - still throws me into a fit of giggles.

I don't know if you'd get Infidel Guy, Reggie, to agree that being on that show was fun. "Reality" shows are hardly reality. Off camera the crews and producers look for ways to create a conflict and if edit them to look like conflict.
BTW, this clip I don't think was from ABC's Wife Swap, I think this is from Fox's "Trading Spouses".

She works herself into quite a rant, doesn't she:
God Warrior:/[b] I needed your prayer!!
[b]Daughter: I prayed for you every night...
God Warrior: BUT I... NEEDED... YOUR PRAYER!!
At the end it tells you what the money was allocated to and a fair bit of it was to helping her daughters move out of the house.
I'm pretty glad she changed her mind and accepted the money.
This is not even religion.
This is just crazy. She needs to be institutionalized.
Oops, LOL Probably was, I also watched a UK version can't quite recall what that was called either.
