I must admit, my first response was 'Fake'. However the appearance seems consistent as the same person (I have known a person who fits both your apparent fashion tastes and personality who changed her hair color multiple times a week just for kicks, so I don't consider that a valid point towards 'Fake'), and the camera placement seems consistent with a person using a digital camera to take pictures of themselves, and a college student living in a crappy run down appartment to cut costs.
Plus, although this seems contrary to the Good Captains history here, she has mentioned 'soul searching' recently, so I'm going to put my money on these really being her.
Plus, given that, especially the last picture, has at least like four different kinds of Fetish in it, I can't help but think that its nice to see some Kinks finally put into the Cpt_Pineapple Chain.

In any case, on April First, a woman made a post that came across serious, she said that she had converted, and damned if several of us didn't fall for it, including me. the funny part is that, I got it the next day, no one outed her and it took a week for someone to finely post that the post was started on April First. She had many going for a week.
I have to admit, I totally missed on this thread that it was started on April First.

Interesting look nigel. I used to wear gauges in my ear lobes ( stretched them up to 5/8" ) but I have since gave up wearing them.

The girl in the photos looks like most of the girls I talk to and make friends with, honestly.
Even down to the arm warmers in the first and second image (Which I also love). I just got back from PAX East, and between that and anime conventions I help at a lot of my friends also dress cosplay or half-cosplay like the last image on a semi-regular basis..
At PAX there were tons of girls dressed as pokemon. It was hilarious. I overheard someone asking if they could rough one of them up to capture them.

Some of the girls I spoke to said PAX was like "Husband Shopping". There are a surprising number of gamer girls out there looking for that gamer guy in their life.

I still cannot help but think that the far better April Fool's Prank would be to post real pictures of herself, claim they were herself, and then watch as no one believes her anyways. The fact that the pictures are, as far as we know, outside of the Captain's personality only adds to that, though I will also say that I only consider the third picture to be outside her personality, because all we really know about her fashion sense (or at least all I know, so maybe you know more, I don't know) is that she doesn't like revealling outfits, and in the first two picture's she is wearing full shirts that only reveal her arms and face, and I don't think even the Captain is that modest.
Even beyond that, the last time she said anything about her fashion sense was before she went and did all that fancy 'soul searching' that landed her in atheism, so who knows what other areas it landed her in.
And the literal Genie in me feels forced to point out that The Good Captain only said someone posted the pictures on a game faqs thread, (which I have been unable to locate by googling for the picture file names...) and never said that was where she got them or that said person wasn't her.
And, And, I've spent the last few years building up an immunity to iocaine powder.
