Einstein final letter says religion is product of human weakness and CHILDISH superstition! He really helps us out here!

One of Einstein's final letters to the Guardian newspaper in England recently sold for tens of thousands of dollars and fetched more than any other of his letters  because it finally clears up his thoughts on religion.  NO....he did NOT believe in fairy tales!!

For me the Jewish religion like all others is an incarnation of the most childish superstitions. And the Jewish people to whom I gladly belong and with whose mentality I have a deep affinity have no different quality for me than all other people

This is awesome news! Now we rip any crazy Christnut a new asshole by telling them how crazy they as even Einstein said it was childish fairy tales!!

BTW, I know this is somewhat old news but I didn't know if it had been posted here.

Well he obviously changed his mind.  Plus Einstein spoke of a god earlier in his life like a cosmic god i.e. a DEIST god and definitely NOT a Christian god.

Deists reject scripture so Einstein was very much like an atheist/agnostic like that.

WHY can't I edit my original post??

You should see two tabs at the top of the thread box(es); one says view, the other says EDIT.

“A meritocratic society is one in which inequalities of wealth and social position solely reflect the unequal distribution of merit or skills amongst human beings, or are based upon factors beyond human control, for example luck or chance. Such a society is socially just because individuals are judged not by their gender, the colour of their skin or their religion, but according to their talents and willingness to work, or on what Martin Luther King called 'the content of their character'. By extension, social equality is unjust because it treats unequal individuals equally.” "Political Ideologies" by Andrew Heywood (2003)

The first post doesn't have either of those and neither does the 2nd post.  Those were both my posts.  The 2nd post did have it soon after I posted it but now the "edit" option is gone.  The 1st post never had the "edit" option.  There has always been an edit option.  What's going on??

Celebrity Atheist List Update?

I guess that this category needs to be updated from Ambiguous to Atheist:

"Ridicule is the only weapon which can be used against unintelligible propositions. Ideas must be distinct before reason can act upon them; and no man ever had a distinct idea of the trinity. ..." -- Thomas Jefferson

It does NOT show those 2 tabs at the top of this thread.  There is no "view" tab or "edit" tabs showing at the top of this page above my first post.  I don't know what's wrong but it's not showing.
