AIG... You're totally right man... When my wife and I began our "Adult" career... we wrote for a magazaine and were assigned to cover the Gentlemen Club owner's Expo/ Exotic dancer fan Fair in Las Vegas.... The competition was awe inspring, and more for the atheletisism than the fact that these women were spectacular to look at... But with the sex-o-phobic culture we live in, they could cure cancer and still be referred to as "Just strippers"
Alas, that expo is about 1/5th the size, and the Dancers role has been significantly diminished since the internet has reduced the demand for Feature Entertainers....

According to the wikipedia entry, it is a rather small event in terms of the percentage of students in the general population. That being said, the people who push for this want everyone to ignore the matter of world population being many billions of people and only on the couple of million people who do participate. After all, a couple of million people technically means that "millions of people" are involved.
