Well, I have the Archos 5

Well, I have the Archos 5 internet tablet.  It cost a bit more than the dedicated book but it is almost a whole computer in that it can do more than the one thing.  I have not tried it in full on sunlight but held right under a 100 watt bulb you can still read the screen.  Perhaps if you held it so close that you would not be able to see the screen around the light bulb, it would leave something to be desired but who would really care in that case?

Everywhere there is free wireless, you will have internet access.  That and you can get ereader software for it so that you can read both nook and kindle books if you want to, although pdf books are fine by me as well.  It is also my music player.  With 500GB of storage, you don't ever have to worry about running out of space for stuff.

yeah im looking to spend less, thats why its between the nook and kindle, if i wanted a tablet id prolly dole out the money for an IPad which ive heard is pretty neat, or mayhaps take a look at the new blackberry tablet "playbook" or the samsung galaxy

basically i dont want to lug around books, both have pros and cons (ive read reviews on the interwebs) but im sort of a B&N shill, plus i like the fact that its ePub compatible and has a slot for extra memory but i was hoping to get some actual indepth user reviews

I love my Kindle, my wife

I love my Kindle, my wife loves the one she has too.  I also read a lot of books from Amazon on my iPhone.  The only downside I can think of is the lack of used book utility, but the nice thing is you have a backup of all your books so...

I do sort of miss having big bookshelves full of crap though.  All my books are in boxes right now.

Everything makes more sense now that I've stopped believing.
