Total Surrender
Total Surrender
If fighter pilots
Were to drop
Contraceptives
Rather than
Bombs
Then the pope
And all of Christ’s representatives
Would boldly
And clearly
Condemn war
Just as the popes
And representatives
Of Jesus
Of the Prince of Peace
Had done so
Before Constantine and Augustine
Before the Just War Theory
Had done so with total surrender to the love of God
With faith in a world beyond this one
However
The Church has traded rest in heaven
For the comforts of this world
The kingdom of heaven is in bed with the kingdom of the world
The fighter pilots drop bombs
The wars go on
With God’s blessings

Total Surrender is the love poetry and the theme of it is love and we are looking for Christian prayers and poems to encourage our readers in their communication with God. I have a collection of it and it is good.
As well as true.
I am not sure what to make of this poem. From visual level it flows well. But from a meaning level, not sure what to make of it.
Is this a Christian condemning war, or an atheist while rightfully agreeing with Christians condemning war criticizing the hypocrisy of Christians claiming the peace of Jesus while war still continues?
Here is mine.

Allah was sucking their cocks
And Jesus too blew his goo
While humans wallowed in their froth

NO, I don't threaten violence or commit acts of violence, nor do I hate you merely because I think your claims are absurd.
It is merely saying, "Look, I like you, but you are bat shit insane if you think the earth is flat".

It's a deep poem and a well thought out comment on Christianity's hypocrisy. It does sound like you're out of breath after a two mile jog.
