The "Soul" and sperm and egg.
We all hear the "life begins at conception". Really?
The sperm had to be alive before it got to the egg and must be so to get into the egg, and it cant fertilize an egg that becomes an expelled period. It is alive too before it gets fertilized.
Not that there is such a thing as a "soul" whatever the fuck that is.
We know sperm and eggs are alive before they meet. So why wouldn't it be possible for this all powerful god to insert the soul into the sperm, or egg since he knows which ones will be born, it shouldn't matter if you place the "soul" in the sperm or the egg before or split the soul in two and then have it whole when they meet. Or have one soul in both at the same time before they meet. REMEMBER, with god all things are possible.
If god can take this non-material thing called a "soul" and put it in one place, being that he is all powerful and cannot be limited by the laws of nature, he should be able to put one soul in both places at the same time even before they meet.
NONSENSE YOU SAY, and you would be right.
First off, no one has ever established the existence of a god, much less one that is "all powerful".
Secondly, no one has established what a "soul" is.
Third, no one can SHOW the mechanics of HOW a "soul" would be implanted even if we accept that it is done when the sperm and egg meet.
So if you accept the absurdity of "splitting" a "soul" or having that "soul" be in both places at the same time. Why is it any more logical to assume that it can only happen when the sperm and egg meet?
If god cant do it before conception then he is not all powerful. If he can, then there would be no reason to say life begins at conception.
How about reality folks. God is made up, and we were not before we were born, and will not be after we die. We are merely a product of sex and what is in reality our "personality" and genetic traits and upbringing, people turn into the comic book claim of "soul".
We are a product of the shuffling of the DNA of the sperm and egg which were both alive before they meet to manifest into what we call "the individual".
The natural processes in life do not need to be conflated to comic book status where a Super hero magically makes us us.
Reality is harsh and boring and we have a tendency to make shit up because a glamorous fictional story is more appealing than mundane reality.
The good thing about facing reality without turning it to DC comics, is that it frees you up to study these things and uncover the gaps in human knowledge. It DOES NOT take away the sense of awe nature makes us feel sometimes. What it does do, is face us with the equally awe inspiring nasty things in life that happen too.
I think volcanos and hurricanes are awe inspiring, I think babies can be cute too. But those same volcanos do and hurricanes kill people, and babies can grow up to be killers.
Getting back to the original reason for this post.
"at conception" Is arbitrary and vacuous considering the lack of evidence even of a god even outside the issue of sex. Which is why I suggest we stick with what we know instead of inserting myth into science.

What are you smoking today???
The 'reason' the soul enters the human being at conception is because the egg and sperm, existing separately, are not complete human beings.
To insert the soul before the human is complete would be like putting icing on an half-baked cake.

OF COURSE IT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE!
But again, if this god knows which sperm is going to go full term it would not be a gamble to put the soul in the sperm first. He's god, he can do what he wants. he's all powerful, so it doesn't have to make sense to us.
Read the entire post. My point is that the "conception" after the meeting is arbitrary. If god is all powerful he can put it wherever and whenever he wants and it doesn't have to make sense to us, so my claim is just as valid as theirs. WELL, just as silly as theirs.
My point is to show that once you claim "all powerful" then you are a hypocrite to set a limit on the word "all" in regards to it's power. If it can do whatever than sticking the Soul in the sperm before it meets, then that should fall within god's power.
This is merely showing the contradiction.
It has been done with other examples to show the contradition of "all powerful"
Can god be all powerful and have no powers at the same time. If he cant he isn't all powerful, if he has no power then he isn't a god. It shows the concept itself "all powerful" is a broken concept.
Just like if one says "all powerful" in regards to the soul and sperm. If he is all powerful then he can put the soul wherever he wants. If he cant, then he is not all powerful.
"Can god make a boulder so big even he couldn't lift it". If he can, then you have set a limit on his power because he cant lift it. If he cant make a boulder he cant lift then why call him "all powerful".
You cant call god all powerful then limit his powers. If he is all powerful, then he is self contradictory.
I am showing how arbitrary the "conception" argument is and how silly and broken the idea of a god is and soul are.

The sperm is supposed to contain the soul; the egg is just a soulless sack of genetic material.
That all of Adam's sperm already contained souls, and those contained all of the souls of all the children they would have, and so on and so forth, for the entirety of humanity (like a big fractal pattern), is the justification for why the sins of the father are inherited, and why original sin contaminated every human soul from Adam. It's also one of the metaphysical underpinnings for why masturbation is, essentially, murder/genocide.
You are both wrong. Life begins when you walk into the bar. There is a reason why it is called night life after all. Three hours later you see a hot chick who will not be so hot over breakfast. Anyway, you both end up doing the horizontal shuffle. Nine months later, she will squeeze a kid out.
If, in her inebriation, she had the presence of mind to get your phone number, then you will pay child support for the rest of your life. Otherwise, you are good to go.
Either that or life began a few billion years ago and it has been a continuous deal ever since.
Seriously, does my first version make less sense than what the theists are saying? If stupid bullshit arguments are an automatic win, then I claim the prize for having bigger stupid bullshit than the theists.

Doesn't this compel us to ask, why aren't we conscious as soon as soon as the sperm goes into the egg?
Is the soul maturing as our body matures? Lol.
Or is the soul subordinate to whatever happens to the body? What exactly does the soul "do" then?
Do those sperm go to heaven? If so, if I was a sperm, I would want to be "masturbated." In fact, I think most people would. I should masturbate as much as possible then.
Our revels now are ended. These our actors, | As I foretold you, were all spirits, and | Are melted into air, into thin air; | And, like the baseless fabric of this vision, | The cloud-capped towers, the gorgeous palaces, | The solemn temples, the great globe itself, - Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve, | And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, | Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff | As dreams are made on, and our little life | Is rounded with a sleep. - Shakespeare

Generally no, they do not; being unbaptized, they burn in hell, or wait in limbo, because of unabsolved original sin.
Do you guys have no idea what a soul really is? My theory is that the soul is a part of the brain that is structured like a fractal, so it can receive supernatural messages like an antenna, and transfer it to our consciousness.
Because atheists can't sense the divine (=supernatural), that means there's something wrong with their antenna, and I think it's because their DNA is weird, and they're practically disabled.
Also, because it's a theory, it's true, according to you atheists. Ha!
Nah, your soul is your cell phone - whatever brand - and god/s/dess tweets believers every day.
If you aren't receiving tweets from god/s/dess, your reception stinks and you need to move around to find the best cellular reception.

What if you do it into a cup of holy water? Wouldn't they be baptized and then flow into the sticky recesses of heaven?
Following that reasoning, probably so, yes. I can't see why they wouldn't.
Alright, I have to go. Seriously, last post.
Have a nice spring!
