To whoever sent me a private message

I can't read private messages cause I don't pay money to RRS for that privilege. So I'll never be able to read your message or respond.

But who is the rustic lady's

imaginary friend? Gaia? The glade within the grove? So long as no one dies for disagreeing with her, an alternative viewpoint is tenable. Ciarin can hardly be lumped in with mainstream theists.

True, I'm sure that's what someone said about a young Mohamed, he's not hurting anyone, he's just providing an alternate viewpoint to Christianity, this is the 600's after all, stop living in the past. Lol, I'm just kidding of course.

Yeah, look,

I'm sure that if Ciarin was an Amazonian indian or Australian Aborigine her religion would be considered highly valid and worthy of respect. No doubt my tree-hugging Celtic ancestors were pagans as well. I'm sure it's largely contrived but I prefer land worship/nature worship, lake/river worship to monotheism any day. Whether this describes Ciarin's belief system accurately is debatable and given the hostility she faces here I'm not sure she's going to let us know what her real feelings and beliefs are.

How does one choose not to believe something they actually believe in? Does this mean you can suddenly choose to have a god belief if someone asked you to?

Unless you think I'm pretending to be a theist, I would be lying if I said I was atheist. I would have to actually stop believing in gods, which doesn't occur over wanting to find out what I have in my PM box. Curiosity of what someone wrote me doesn't convince me to lack a belief in a god.

There's no reason to reread what you said unless you edited and I didn't notice.

Good, it shouldn't.  The lack of proof for any god is what should.

“A meritocratic society is one in which inequalities of wealth and social position solely reflect the unequal distribution of merit or skills amongst human beings, or are based upon factors beyond human control, for example luck or chance. Such a society is socially just because individuals are judged not by their gender, the colour of their skin or their religion, but according to their talents and willingness to work, or on what Martin Luther King called 'the content of their character'. By extension, social equality is unjust because it treats unequal individuals equally.” "Political Ideologies" by Andrew Heywood (2003)

If it did, then I probably wouldn't be a theist.

Not only are you cute... but bright... so I'm sure you have some fans here that see themselves and you in a potential philosophical Florence Nightingale scenario.... Hahahahahaha.... I'm suprised you don't get lots of PM's.
