Why Are Black Women Less Physically Attractive Than Other Women?
With a title like that, it's sure to cause controversy. A recent study by Satoshi Kanazawa, is creating a lot of waves in the overly sensitive, politically correct media.
You can find a Cached copy HERE.
And a CNN article regarding the piece here. Black women ugly? Says who?
Here's a taste from the Cached copy
"There are many biological and genetic differences between the races. However, such race differences usually exist in equal measure for both men and women. For example, because they have existed much longer in human evolutionary history, Africans have more mutations in their genomes than other races. And the mutation loads significantly decrease physical attractiveness (because physical attractiveness is a measure of genetic and developmental health). But since both black women and black men have higher mutation loads, it cannot explain why only black women are less physically attractive, while black men are, if anything, more attractive."
Personally I think it is a subjective study measuring society's perception, nothing more, nothing less. What do you guys think?

I've seen plenty of black women that could inspire a nice bulge in my pants. To me beautiful women come in all races, but that's just me and I don't bother trying to figure out why I'm that way.....the penis wants what it wants![](/sites/www.rationalresponders.com/modules/fckeditor/fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/msn/118.gif)
This may sound corny, but I really don't care about skin colour in every situation, and I have dated every skin colour that I can think of. I haven't seen any difference... I find some women attractive and others not so much, skin colour has nothing to do with it.
I just wanted to see what everyone else thought. Personally I think it's a crock of shit, typical stereotyping, just because some numbnut organized a study on doesn't mean anything.

I think that's kind of shitty because it seems to imply that it's about a biological classification with coherent barriers when it's really about a social classification based on physical traits that don't co-vary anyway, and since they don't I don't think it even makes sense. I didn't read the article though.

Total garbage.
I'll tell you why black women are rated less attractive. People know what "black" looks like, and that brings with it an awareness of behavioral and socioeconomic stereotypes. Basically, Ktulu, I agree with you.
I think people subconsciously prefer their own race. At least here.
But I might be biased, I live all my life in 100% white land, the only common non-whites are gypsies, who are like when white trash meets black ghetto gangster, only much worse. In some well-known locations they're like a primitive tribal culture, only without culture. This is why most of people in this country are less or more potential or active racists. Or just not used to seeing any other skin colors, after 40 years of communistic isolation.
However, asian types here have a considerably better reputation and cultural stereotypes. Not ideal either, but almost everyone would rather have Vietnamese in-laws, than gypsy in-laws. And as for african-type blacks, only rich ones can afford travelling here and they cause no trouble.
There are some cultural intermarriages, but in these cases the gypsy side must renounce their family completely. Otherwise they raid the young couple's place without warning, take away their stuff (like baby-coach, even if the baby is about to be born) and eat all their food. (these are real cases) The problem is deep, goes back to WW2 and can not be fixed without some radical and very politically incorrect steps.
But I think even locals would be happy to date other races of any skin color, (after a generation or two of getting used to the idea) only if they would have a guarantee that the significant other will have at least average (or reasonably randomized) standards of ethics, hygiene, finances, criminal record, intellect, culture and concept of private property.
Beings who deserve worship don't demand it. Beings who demand worship don't deserve it.
It seems that when people want to have a "frank discussion" about race that's usually just code for bashing blacks. To me it seems irresponsible because it tells the average person that their intuitions and preconceptions about race are somehow confirmed or legitimized by science when they are not.
He says:
Which makes you think he's talking about biological subspecies, but if so then what are they? He tells you:
Africans aren't a race in that sense though. There's no way to divide humans into subspecies with Africans as a discreet group based on morphology or genetics. He's talking about a social grouping without clear boundaries, full of people who look sometimes very dissimilar and other times look very similar to people outside the group.

I think it's mainly the legacy of slavery. The white women were trained to pursue beauty to attract a wealth man(often a slave holder). The black women were just supposed to work and master would decide who she breeds with. They were selected in Africa and bred in America to be workers and not beauty queens. This culture got passed down. Plus being economically disadvantaged since slavery has meant black women haven't had the luxury of vanity.
Taxation is the price we pay for failing to build a civilized society. The higher the tax level, the greater the failure. A centrally planned totalitarian state represents a complete defeat for the civilized world, while a totally voluntary society represents its ultimate success. --Mark Skousen
i have no idea about how valid this study is--my guess is not at all--but im generally not attracted to black women physically. just my taste. ive never looked into the "reason" behind it (i dont think there is one--at least, not psychologically). there have been two black women in my life personally that i would have gladly bedded, and both were mixed and pretty light-skinned.
"I have never felt comfortable around people who talk about their feelings for Jesus, or any other deity for that matter, because they are usually none too bright. . . . Or maybe 'stupid' is a better way of saying it; but I have never seen much point in getting heavy with either stupid people or Jesus freaks, just as long as they don't bother me. In a world as weird and cruel as this one we have made for ourselves, I figure anybody who can find peace and personal happiness without ripping off somebody else deserves to be left alone. They will not inherit the earth, but then neither will I. . . . And I have learned to live, as it were, with the idea that I will never find peace and happiness, either. But as long as I know there's a pretty good chance I can get my hands on either one of them every once in a while, I do the best I can between high spots."

Btw, I'm asian, but I'm more attracted to white girls. So.......yeah.![](/sites/www.rationalresponders.com/modules/fckeditor/fckeditor/editor/images/smiley/msn/003.gif)
Our revels now are ended. These our actors, | As I foretold you, were all spirits, and | Are melted into air, into thin air; | And, like the baseless fabric of this vision, | The cloud-capped towers, the gorgeous palaces, | The solemn temples, the great globe itself, - Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve, | And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, | Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff | As dreams are made on, and our little life | Is rounded with a sleep. - Shakespeare

I find approximately 40% of females sexually attractive. I've never really noticed any differences between skin colours. All I can say is that hot black girls don't seem to do as much porn. But they're definitely out there.
I can think of 4 perfect ten girls I've seen over the years. The kind of hot that shuts my brain down. Of those 4, two were black, one white, and one middle-eastern. "Race" has never mattered to me at all.

I don't find black girls all that unattractive. The exception here [have to be 100% honest] is extremely dark women. Otherwise, I find them at least as attractive as women of other races.
SOME BLACK PEOPLE LOOK LIKE GORILLAS. TAKE A GOOD LOOK AT THEM SOMETIME. ALSO STOP USING AFRICAN-AMERICAN. IF YOU WERE BORN IN AMERICA, THEN BE PROUD AND SAY I'M AN AMERICAN. OTHERWISE GET THE HELL OUT AND GO LIVE IN AFRICAN.

As a classic example of an uneducated racist, I have to disagree. We should spot-light it as an example of what an idiot is.

HAHAHAHA! "Go back to African!" Damn it, that's hilarious.
I think I sort of agree with it, expecially, as cpt_pineapple said, for extremely black women. But I think also it's only a matter of habit.
I have seen many attractive black women but I must be honest as usual and report that they are generally the ones who have straighted their hair and all that trying to fit in with the "white" classification of beauty. I could lie but what's the point? Not sure if it's societal standards that have been pushed on us all or if it is some sort of racial bias or what. I go in good part with the idea that when a man see's a beautiful woman he is noticing bone structure etc blah blah lets make lots of babies, will she make lots of healthy babies? Of course this would be subconciously, we usually don't sit around and knowingly compare.
For some reason most black women don't seem to cut it for me, I'm not entirely certain why. I don't seem to have this problem with any other "race" which leads me to think I could be just a prejudiced asshole but I don't really think so. We are all the same people just from different places so i'm just not sure what the deal is.
I will also be honest and report that I am willing to bet most black guys if forced to be honest (and most of those wouldn't even have to be forced) would say that "white" women are more attractive than "black" so maybe with this info I could lean a bit more towards societal expectations as to the cause.

Rob, as always your opinion is in a class of its own. By now it has been shown through independent analysis that black women as adults were not rated least attractive by the Add Health study, or even less attractive.
Kanazawa left out the 4th phase of the study which was a critical omission because it was a narrowing gap that became statistically insignificant by then and the data he used were based on ratings of attractiveness of the participants when they were teenagers not adults. He was fired and Psychology Today posted an article debunking him. There are twists of time and space, of vision and reality, which only a dreamer can divine

I didn't initially read the "study" I just left a response to the topic of the thread. I don't put much stock in studies like this anyway, people lie, usually to save face or make themselves look good.
