Omniscience, By Brian37
Omniscience, By Brian37
In the land
Of Carnival
He claims
To cry for Argentina
The truth is
Little kids
Pilfer through refuse
Outside the city
They scavenge
For sustenance
While blinded eyes
Watch from above
Piles of rubbish
Plastic bags
Half eaten food
Are on what they thrive
This is their quest
Day to day
To put in their mouths
That from decay
The peaks they climb
Are not their dreams
Just of survival
He claims to see
Really God?
You see it all?
And do what
To stop this horror?
What did they do
To deserve poverty
To find their meals
In piles of waste?
And you sit above
Blaming them
Blaming the parents
Blaming our ancestors
Little kids, God!
To young to understand
The adult myths
And master plan
Omniscience
Is a human construct
Invented to explain
Of why this happens
Kids, God
Who don't know
Whom you let suffer
For selfish glory
No, God
You ARE fiction
The mind of men
In denial
I cry for Argentina
I cry for those kids
I don't pretend
Superman will save them.
(End)
I just saw a story this morning on CNN about the Kids in Argentina who spend every day digging through the city dump for anything they can eat or sell.

Awesome! I'm liking your new stuff. Or maybe I'm just 'getting it' better.
I look at it a lot like photography. You take a shit load of pictures and put them out there. Something strikes a nerve even if most of it doesn't.
Glad you liked it.
