Hey natural!

I'm good.  When I left here I was between jobs but I've been working at my current one for almost two and a half years.  It's pretty boring most of the time unless something breaks so I spend all day surfing the web.  As usual I've been going obsessively from one subject matter to the next.  For the past seven months or so I've been studying constantly about the American Civil War and all that.

Good to see some of you old school RRS peeps.

Good, going back to school and occasionally binge drinking on the weekends.

Oh, I requested to be removed from Mod status.  I had worked for a year and a half at a job from hell and then got forcibly resigned.  I did better than my boss, he was flat out fired.  And it was all utter nonsense.  My boss was excellent at what he did.

Anyway, I was unemployed for a while and went through a really bad depression and tried to drink myself to death.  So in the middle of all that I requested the owner of the forum, Brian Sapient, to remove me from mod status.

Brian and I are decent friends with one another.  We've talked on the phone a few times and I've sent him RRS related gifts that I had made for the gang.  If I asked I'm sure he would reinstate me.

However, the forum is not near as fast paced as it used to be.  They don't need any more Mods.  I think the current ones can do a fine job without me mucking everything up.

 Hello, nice to see you

Hello, nice to see you back! Hold on out there. Unemployment sucks... I mean, not so much if you can earn something on the side, but it has impact on children. Fucking capitalism.

Hey Luminon.  *grins*  I'm surprised you managed to hang around.  You were taking a lot of flack from people on here back in the day.

Unemployment was a long time ago.  Thankfully I found a job with better pay, better benefits, and very low stress levels.  So I've been good for a while now.

What are you up to these days?

These were good times, lots of attention and discussion. I'm afraid I refined my theories so much, that they can't be easily disproven, so there is no fast fun for skeptics. Digging through a real research is too much like a real work Smiling You can find some info in this thread or here, pay attention to the principle of how aura around living things better absorbs the displacement current field, which makes it measurable. See what I mean? Not so much fun anymore.

Glad to see that. I hope it lasts, but lets you have time for personal growth. And family, of course.

During the summer I went on some volunteer jobs, the first one was with building an ecologic, low-energy clay house, the second one was some maintenance in a wildlife rescue station. Wonderful people, many of them very educated and intelligent. Work was OK. But it was organized like a camp and most of the games were deadly exhausting. You know, stuff like blisters on feet and wasp stings.
Now I'm back at school and preparing to write my final paper. (something about preparing children to choose the right high school, lots of psychology in there) I'll have the Diploma Specialist degree. Year and half and unholy amount of money later I should add a Bc. on top of that and hopefully study sociology.

Ah, you have missed pineapple's binge drinking. Once every couple of weeks, usually around 10:00 on Saturday night, she drunk posts and comedy follows. Mostly, they are borderline pornographic.

Past that, I kind of like the rest of your story because I got forcibly downsized a couple of months ago. I had that job for 25 years and I have to get back in the game myself. Of course the things that got a job during the Reagan administration are not functional today.

Hamby's focusing on his blog

Hamby's focusing on his blog now: http://livinglifewithoutanet.wordpress.com/

He's also posting on Examiner. He had a good one recently about what women seem to prefer to talk about in the atheist 'movement', in contrast to the recent kerfuffle known as Elevator Gate.

Well, as stated, Hamby still blogs. That and I see him on face book every few days. From what I gather, his business grew bigger and more complicated and he had to make the choice.

Actually, we ran with no head mod for a while but then since you have been there, you know that for the most part, we tend to be a fairly agreeable crowd as far as moderation goes. As for my actual certs, I got mod like a year or year and a half ago. Mainly for reporting so much spam that Brian eventually just gave me the tool to deal with it directly. I got high level the end of the winter and Mod God the end of the spring.
