Kerry Kennedy cited for drug-impaired driving
Kerry Kennedy, a daughter of the late Robert F. Kennedy and the former wife of New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo, was ticketed for driving under the influence of drugs after an accident in Westchester County, N.Y., state police said.
Her spokesman said later that tests found no drugs or alcohol in her system.Update at 7:43 p.m. ET: Kerry Kennedy's spokesman says in an e-mail that tests found no drugs or alcohol in her system."Kerry Kennedy voluntarily took breathalyzer, blood and urine tests – all of which showed no drugs or alcohol whatsoever in her system. New York State police cited the 52-year-old Kennedy in the Westchester County town of North Castle about 8 a.m. after 911 calls reported a car driving erratically on Interstate 684. She exited the highway and was found sitting behind the wheel of her disabled 2008 Lexus RS 350, which had sustained damage, including a flat tire, says the The Journal News, published by USA TODAY's parent, Gannett.
