The concept of so called 'birth rights' is highly irrational. The fact that theists claim that these rights come from God ought to be the first clue that this is the case. There is nothing magical about the place where you popped out. And no one should owe you anything because your birthplace.
Any relationship a government has with people must be in the form of a contract.
Taxation is the price we pay for failing to build a civilized society. The higher the tax level, the greater the failure. A centrally planned totalitarian state represents a complete defeat for the civilized world, while a totally voluntary society represents its ultimate success. --Mark Skousen
