NOBODY puts ABBA in the corner!
For any fan of the 70s and early 80s, you must submit to the dominance of ABBA. It is a complete myth that their music was all disco. No band at the time conquered foreign languages and piled on 22 hits in a decade. They are only second to the Beatles. And I defy anyone to listen to "Watch Out" and "Hey Helen" and claim they are a one trick pony.
So when people pick on me for liking ABBA, I say FUCK YOU!

Ok we can go there. They just recently outsold the Beatles in the UK surpassing them. But if you want to say 147, that too if the case, is not shabby considering that most people attempting to become music artists don't get past a local bar.
Shit, my favorite song of all time Sausalito Summer Nights by Diesel was their only hit, and most people today other than fans of Diesel don't know about it. I'd kill just to get to even a one hit wonder. But ABBA did much more than that and I find it absurd, even if you want to trash them, which is fine, to deny their influence.
When your band ends up with a Broadway play and a museum in it's home country and beat the Beatles in sales, even if in one country, and still selling albums after a 10 year career in a 40 year period, what do you want me to concede to?
Considering what they did if 147 is your claim, so the fuck what. It still kicks ass and most bands WONT do what they did.
