How does an atheist observe Easter ?
I am observing this Easter Sunday by mowing my yard and logging on to RRS and arguing with Brian37. What could be more reverential ?

It is 4/20 so I suggest you light one up.
If, if a white man puts his arm around me voluntarily, that's brotherhood. But if you - if you hold a gun on him and make him embrace me and pretend to be friendly or brotherly toward me, then that's not brotherhood, that's hypocrisy.- Malcolm X

I worked all day at the office...Hallafuckinglujah.
Shame there are no theists here to argue with. Even Jean Chauvin would be better than nothing. Is this what an atheist world would be like?
Because of my silly upbringing, I need to argue with chrisitans about things that cannot be known. I've been reduced to publically fighting with my missionary mother on facebook.
When my argument reaches its climax of intellectual effort and nuance, and her position should be utterly untenable, she delivers this devastating riposte. "I'll pray for you, dear."
And this Bretty Kenny of a side-step always gets 2 dozen likes.

Caught up on all seasons of Justified.
Watched so much of it that I feel like I have been living in Harlan Kentucky.
Even though none of the episodes is actually FILMED in Harlan Kentucky.

god forbid.
probably because the film crew kept getting shot at.
"I have never felt comfortable around people who talk about their feelings for Jesus, or any other deity for that matter, because they are usually none too bright. . . . Or maybe 'stupid' is a better way of saying it; but I have never seen much point in getting heavy with either stupid people or Jesus freaks, just as long as they don't bother me. In a world as weird and cruel as this one we have made for ourselves, I figure anybody who can find peace and personal happiness without ripping off somebody else deserves to be left alone. They will not inherit the earth, but then neither will I. . . . And I have learned to live, as it were, with the idea that I will never find peace and happiness, either. But as long as I know there's a pretty good chance I can get my hands on either one of them every once in a while, I do the best I can between high spots."

LOL. I have heard from a fellow biker that Harlan has a well deserved reputation that proceeds it (he's not from Harlan but is from Kentucky). Only part I have ever actually hung out in was Paducah. Lots of liquor and college co-eds from what I remember.

well, i'm from eastern kentucky, north of harlan. paducah is way over in the far west. it's worlds away from harlan, in every sense of the term. harlan is like the kabul of kentucky.

Was on FB yesterday. Lots of funny easter memes people put up. I usually wait until my grass is as tall as the Empire State building.

I went to my girlfriend's house, BBQed, spent time with her watching Supernatural and went home. Despite my horribly shitty year so far, I can't complain.
While there are many versions of this song and they end every season of the show with it, I think this one by Kentucky songbird Patty Loveless is the best version. But it could be because I am a Patty Loveless fan :
