I got my notice in the mail

from a local funeral home informing me (that's what it amounts to) that it's coming fast mt turn to kick the bucket, and I should make arrangments now to make it easier on the family, so when the big day comes it all works out smoothly. Now, if they were to approach me in person I would show them how smoothly I can work things to put their asses on the deck with very little effort. They would learn very quickly how I as a youngster was highly acute and astute in such matters. These types can conjure up visions of vultures high up on a cliff waiting for some poor unfortunate morsel far below to die from thirst and hunger.

Plan- A. write return to sender on the envelope and put it back in the mail.

The only possible thing the world needs saving from are those running it.

Another scam industry. My

Another scam industry. My father planned his funeral and ended up not getting every thing he wanted.

Mine is simple. Cremate me. Put me in a balloon. Release me at 2 miles, then watch me float up in the atmosphere for 10,000 years.

Yes. So much better when only the Socialist party leaders and their cronies get an eleborate expensive funeral. The workers break their backs supporting them and get nothing in return but being shot in a food riot.

Formidability means absolutely nothing and death doesn't just visit the old.  Bruce Lee was only 33 when he died suddenly and he was certainly more than capable of kicking ass.

No one knows when death will pay them a visit.

the whole deal--casket,

the whole deal--casket, burial, plot, funeral--costs hundreds here in postcommunist slovakia. hundreds. during communism, it cost next to nothing. so yeah, i'll go the evil socialist dictatorship route.

"I have never felt comfortable around people who talk about their feelings for Jesus, or any other deity for that matter, because they are usually none too bright. . . . Or maybe 'stupid' is a better way of saying it; but I have never seen much point in getting heavy with either stupid people or Jesus freaks, just as long as they don't bother me. In a world as weird and cruel as this one we have made for ourselves, I figure anybody who can find peace and personal happiness without ripping off somebody else deserves to be left alone. They will not inherit the earth, but then neither will I. . . . And I have learned to live, as it were, with the idea that I will never find peace and happiness, either. But as long as I know there's a pretty good chance I can get my hands on either one of them every once in a while, I do the best I can between high spots."

Except of course the cost of the dictator and his cronies' funerals. Your argument against for socialism/communism is that a man works hard his whole life and then he can't afford an expesive funeral?

You're looking at this with American cultural bias. In USA, the average take home pay is about $30,000/yr. So an average funeral is around $10,000. In country where the funeral cost is less than $1000. The average salary is much much lower. So for them it is not any better. It's only better for you cause you got some evil American capitialist dollars in your pocket.

The reason why things are expensive where you have a booming capitialist economy is that a lot people move there to get rich/make good wages. This drives up the cost housing and everything else. So it is really a problem of a lack of land, not a problem with free market capitalism. When you have a booming economy, you have housing shortages.

WRONG.

The average cost will vary from state to state, but on average it is $6,600.

My father had his for $5,300.
