Kabane52 -- Evolution and the Bible

Kabane52 acquitted himself well against the disreputable shambling of a young Earth creationist popular on YouTube. It came as a surprise to find that he was a Christian; an interesting type of Christian: one that hopes to reconcile the stories of the bible with a scientific view. In light of the poor quality of recent dialogs with Christians, I want to open this topic. I'll start with a question Kabane52. Kabane, how do you reconcile the Genesis stories with your simultaneous conviction that life evolved? Were Adam and Eve real? How could they be if we evolved? The flood? Dragons and unicorns (OK, the latter possibly being a translation error)?
