A historical person?

I think its been well established that Jesus, as a demi-god, has little to no proof. But, what about his existence as a historical person? Is there any evidence to suggest that he was a real (normal) man and, simply, his claims were extremely exaggerated over the course of centuries. This was topic that was brought up during a heated game of Loaded Questions. I was unable to address it accurately because it doesn't seem to come up a lot. Thanks for your time.

Quote: I promise you there

Quote:
I promise you there is nothing that says "Jesus wasn't historical" in any particular manuscript in existence - at least none written in the Nag Hammadi library.

I see. Thanks Rook. I guess I should have looked a little harder. I appreciate the response anyway.

I just read little further

I just read little further on the Mythicist position. It seems from what I read that there isn't really any contemporary evidence for a historical Jesus. Then I quoted you with the above quote. I'm confused. I'll continue reading however. Maybe I missed something.

My main issue is I tend to

My main issue is I tend to jump around while reading long excerpts. Due to the fact I don't have a lot of time to read long posts. Maybe I should just start printing things out. Thanks for the link. By the way, how do I obtain a free copy of your book? If I can't, do you have it available for purchase?
