Amen

I only heard this fairly recently and never realized it before. Wonder how many Christians know it. You know how they say "Amen" a lot? You know what it means? "Amen" is one of the names of the Egyptian Sun God! Another way Christianity ripped off (or "cuntpasted" using modern internet slang) from other religions!

Do you have that list posted anywhere?  I'd be very interested in seeing it.  There is so much that Christianity has lifted from other religions.

I don't have it posted, but I have it on Microsoft Word.

Easter and Christmas are on the list, though.

I'll post the list in a new thread when I get the chance.

Wow.  They told us back in grade school that it meant "I believe".  Never said which language though...

There are no theists on operating tables.

I don't know where your

I don't know where your information is coming from, but Merriam Webster claims the etymology is ultimately from Hebrew by way of Greek and Latin. Do you have any more information on it, or a source?

It's only the fairy tales they believe.

Did you know that the idea of an afterlife and damnation didn't exist before Orphic tradition?

I think you're dealing with

I think you're dealing with homonyms here. The word Amen can refer to both the hebrew word 'Amen', which translates into 'so be it' and the egyptian god 'Amen', also refered to as 'Amon' or 'Amun'.
