The thing I love about this is on the outside, I, despite my undying atheism, find the basis for the suit rather absurd.
The idea of suing over something like this is a little silly to me because of the fact that I don't really agree with suing over such trivial things. For instance, I would never fathom suing my parents over Santa Claus or suing over the existance of bigfoot.
BUT, the reason I really hope a case like this will be won someday is not because I want to see anyone make money from such an abstruse suit, but that I want to see government admit that there's no historical, scientific, or legal proof of Jesus' existance.
That's where we win.
If it takes a million frivolous lawsuits to get that victory, I'm behind it one hundred percent.
That would be nice.
How's this case going, btw? Any news or anything?
Slow moving, still going forward.

Hmm can anyone verify this: "On March 20th, 2006, the case was re-evaluated [1], and in July of that year Cascioli was fined by an Italian appeals court for bringing a fraudulent suit."
This is from wikipedia at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Luigi_Cascioli
Also, from the same wiki: http://www.wnd.com/news/article.asp?ARTICLE_ID=50890
Looks kinda grim
That article says he was fined in an appeals court in Rome. Unless i'm mistaken, he appealed to an EU Court of human rights.
