Left Behind Video Game
I was tempted to put this in Irrational Precepts.... Have you heard about the computer game based on the Left Behind books? The object of the game (I am NOT making this up) is to convert or kill anyone in New York who is not a Fundie Christian. Apparently, you can also play the opposing side and send demons to devour the Christians (this would probably be more fun.....) I wonder if it is possible to win on the anti-Christian side. Not that I would waste my money, especially when it goes to them...

Holy shit. Funny how Christian Fundamentalists are quick to condemn the GTA series...and yet they create a game that's much worse because of it's bigotry.
I was just talking to a friend...we hope they make an online version. I'd buy it just for a chance to pwn Christians. Just think...we could mod the game and create versions of ourselves in RRS uniforms. Maybe even create a few DOOM-style demons to launch at Christians. If only ...

I just read you can actually play as the Anti-Christ and blow away Christians.
Heh Heh Cool idea, but I'm sure they make it impossible for christians to lose.
Actually, I'm sure they just make the "infidels" extremely evil and scary. It seems the point of this game is to scare the shit out of little kids into not wanting to be "left behind" (like those damn books). And of course to blow away people who aren't Christian.

If there's a purchase involved, it likely benefits Xians.
If I do get the game it will be when it is on the $5-10 rack or I get it from some family member who doesn't know I'm atheist.
Just download it.
I'd check it out if not only to see what a true atheist looks like to these xtians. I mean it's not the atheists that comprise the majority in prisons. Probably some debonair scientist.
The entire 'left behind' concept is moronic.... if such an event occured, where millions of fundies suddenly disapeared, the debate over fundy christianity would end, and any sane people left behind would convert to it. There would finally be evidence for it.
So the entire thought process behind it just speaks to how the fundy projects out his flaws onto others... deep down he knows that he's the irrational one when it comes to his beliefs, so he can't help but think that everyone else is just like him... utterly unwilling to concede to reality.... preferring comforting delusions to the truth.
Meanwhile, what person would have a problem living forever in blissful heaven?! Give me the proof, I'll believe.
You see this sort of parody of skeptics in all horror films.... evidence is everywhere, but the skeptic still scoffs...
In reality, the skeptic is often the reasonable one.... give the skeptic evidence, and he'll consider it. Give him a preponderance of evidence, and he'll change his mind.
That said... game sounds funny...
Just looked at a Left Behind site.... seems like there's 10 books about it... you'd think that these fundies would be dying to go to heaven, but they just continue to focus on us all on earth... very, very odd...
Oh, and I hear that some people complained about the violence in the game. Here's a response from the company:
There is no blood or gore in Left Behind: Eternal Forces. The game is designed to be a classic battle between good and evil, but it does not gratuitously depict violence or death.
So, no blood and gore! That would be bad... but teaching people that they will burn in hell... that's fine...!

I dont know if its my suggestive personality, but damn I sure feel lynch mobish after a while of playing that game....Ohhh but Im sure in cases of salvation its ok right?!?!....HA
