Pat Robertson: God told me of 'mass killing' in 2007

•NEW: Robertson claims God spoke to him
VIRGINIA BEACH, Virginia (AP) -- Evangelical broadcaster Pat Robertson said
Tuesday that God has told him that a terrorist attack on the United States
would cause a "mass killing" late in 2007.
"I'm not necessarily saying it's going to be nuclear," he said during his
news-and-talk television show "The 700 Club" on the Christian Broadcasting
Network.
"The Lord didn't say nuclear. But I do believe it will be something like
that."
Robertson said God told him about the impending tragedy during a recent prayer
retreat.
God also said, he claims, that major cities and possibly millions of people
will be affected by the attack, which should take place sometime after
September.
Robertson suggested in January 2006 that God punished then-Israeli Prime
Minister Ariel Sharon with a stroke for ceding Israeli-controlled land to the
Palestinians.
The broadcaster predicted in January 2004 that President Bush would easily win
re-election.
Bush won 51 percent of the vote that fall, beating Democratic Sen. John Kerry
of Massachusetts.
In 2005, Robertson predicted that Bush would have victory after victory in his
second term. He said Social Security reform proposals would be approved and
Bush would nominate conservative judges to federal courts.
Lawmakers confirmed Bush's 2005 nominations of John Roberts and Samuel Alito
to the Supreme Court. But the president's Social Security initiative was
stalled.
"I have a relatively good track record," he said. "Sometimes I miss."
In May, Robertson said God told him that storms and possibly a tsunami were to
crash into America's coastline in 2006.
Even though the U.S. was not hit with a tsunami, Robertson on Tuesday cited
last spring's heavy rains and flooding in New England as partly fulfilling
the prediction.

I wish someone would get him back on his medication.

Alright guys, "God" spoke to me and said a couple things himself.
He said a lot of you people are really smart, and really dumb. He told me to ask questions so you can figure out the world for yourselves.
Am I a nutcase? Please call me one, so you can only reaffirm statements that have been made about such a soul as myself since I was practically born.
1 in 5 Americans believe we live in a Geocentric solar system. Who do you blame for that? God? I blame god.
what is wrong with these people. Doesn't this guy get enough attention as it is...God !
Yeh, and that's why everyone hates him.
Or maybe because he thinks we should be killing Homosexuals?

Now I know you’re thinking two things: why doesn’t God tell us things that aren’t obvious, and why does God frequently lie to Pat Robertson, like in January, 2004, when God said Bush would easily win re-election when Bush only received 51% of the vote and in May, 2006, when God told Robertson about a tsunami that was supposed to hit America’s coastline that year, but didn’t? Well, there are easy answers: God likes to surprise people, God only watches Fox News, and God doesn’t get The Weather Channel…or more likely, Pat Robertson is just another lying sack of shit.
But to quote Nick Nailer from the film Thank You For Smoking, “If you argue correctly, you’re never wrong.” Robertson’s “predictions” are impossible to disprove. According to the Boston Globe, he said last January that God punished then-Israeli Prime Minister Ariel Sharon with a stroke for ceding Israeli-controlled land to the Palestinians. No one can possibly prove otherwise. Bush did win re-election, so it’s easy to ignore the part about him “easily” winning re-election. And no tsunami hit the American coastline, but there were heavy rains and flooding in New England—and that’s sort of like a tsunami—close enough for God anyway. And then, if neither of those solutions satisfies you, Robertson admits, “I have a relatively good track record. Sometimes I miss." That’s convincing enough. I mean, God’s not omniscient or anything, right?
Personally I don't believe Robertson receives text messages from God. I believe that like every other faith healer and messenger of Jesus, Xenu, Zeus, Thor, etc., he's a con artist, preying (not praying) on desperate people willing to buy into superstitious nonsense. He's either a liar or psychotic. Take your pick.
Wasn't that him where a hurricane was forming and he said it would hit Ft Lauderdale for having "gay day", and after he said it it turned and hit his church's HQ in Virginia Beach?

I'll make some predictions for 2007 too:
A plane will crash killing many. An earthquake will strike the Pacific Rim. A hurricane will hit the USA.
In the event that none of the above happen, that will be proof that God answered my prayers. He only listens to me, ya' know. Send me some money to keep my ministry going so that I can continue to prevent events like the above predictions if you know what's good for you.

I wanna be safe...please save me oh connected one!!!!
We must favor verifiable evidence over private feeling. Otherwise we leave ourselves vulnerable to those who would obscure the truth.

I guess we should all be thankful god didn't also tell him to commit the mass killing, like he told the terrorists.
He sounds a bit like a fascist.
