Questions on Beginning of universe
First of all, this has nothing to do with the theism/atheism debate.

Now, what arre your thoughts on this?
I hope that when the world comes to an end I can breathe a sigh of relief, because there will be so much to look forward to.

"Hitler burned people like Anne Frank, for that we call him evil.
"God" burns Anne Frank eternally. For that, theists call him 'good.'

Darth, I'm just pointing out that what we accept as the truth isn't without its own problems - and the idea that if those ideas(odd wording, I know) were true, though I doubt it, we would be... foolish... to say the least, if not on the same level as Creation "Scientist". To quote Men in Black: A thousand years ago everybody knew as a fact, that the earth was the center of the universe. Five hundred years ago, they knew it was flat. Fifteen minutes ago, you knew we humans were alone on it. Imagine what you'll know tomorrow.
Not that I believe in aliens or anything...
I hope that when the world comes to an end I can breathe a sigh of relief, because there will be so much to look forward to.
But should we EXPECT what we inductively percieve about the universe to change so willy-nilly? No.
Fifteen minutes ago, there was no tangible evidence for deities and little more than anectdotal evidence for aliens, Bigfoot and Nessie. I don't expect that to change anytime soon. I remain open to the possibility that it could, but you won't find me holding my breath or believing in such things in the mean time. Ignorance is NEVER a reason to believe something.
I am against religion because it teaches us to be satisfied with not understanding the world. - Richard Dawkins
