I was just wonder what Abe lincoln actually thought about the bible? I mean here we have 2 different quotes. Can someone clear the air about this or does any one know anymore about this? I myself am an Atheist but me and one of my theist co workers says that Lincoln was a Christian based on that quote and I am thinking the opposite. Anyone else know anything?

Not sure about those quotes.
I can comment on the founders because I have read tons of quotes that both sides of the issue use.
There really is no dicotomy with the founders. Each of them had different beliefs from deism to Christianity. What says alot about what they didnt want is in the Constitution (or glaring lack of mention).
The founders diliberately left out the mention of Jesus and Christianity with absolutly NO MENTION of an "official" or "unofficial" goverment sponsored religion. In addition "No Religious Test " is in the Constitution as well as the Oath of Office with no requirement to swear to the Christian god or any god for that matter. " So help me God" IS NOT MANDITORY. And not even written into the oath of office.
"We are a nation of Christians and Muslims, Jews and Hindus -- and nonbelievers."Obama

As much as I hate to admit it, Lincoln was a Christian. For my first job I proofread a civil war newspaper for a good friend of mine. He has a website, http://www.sonofthesouth.net, about the civil war. He would scan the original newspapers onto his computer and I would fix the errors the computer made when reading the 140-year old text. This resulted in reading everything very slowly and thoroughly. I read the entire saga of the civil war, every page of every weekly edition of Harper's Weekly (the newspaper we used). Abraham Lincoln did show that he was a Christian, he read the Bible, prayed to God, and was an example of Christian character. I'm not sure about the validity of either of the quotes you have above, both of them could be true. But yes, Lincoln was a Christian.
Atheism is a non-prophet organization.
i like this site

Lincoln was christian but i can't stand the guy. in general i don't agree with use of fear to keep someone in line. Lincoln said he didn't want war but then again he didn't like being opposed. and look at what happened when chief justice Robert Taney he had no write to suspended heabeus corpass that is was congress duty. here is a website i found. http://www.lewrockwell.com/orig2/adams3.html
i can try to answer any questions you got on him but i will not give him credit for doing things yet he is glorifed and then other people like saddam do them and are consider evil and they critized while this guy is left alone because of his religion and the fact the U.S. won the war. but they would of lost if lincoln did not use martial law to keep maryland from joining the C.S.A. and liked to arrest people that opposed him.

"Now let it be written in history and on Mr. Lincoln's tombstone: `He died an unbeliever.'"
“It is true that in the land of the blind, the one-eyed man is king. It is equally true that in the land of the blind, the two-eyed man is an enemy of the state, the people, and domestic tranquility… and necessarily so. Someone has to rearrange the furniture.”
