Murder of heretics in the new testament
Everyone always says the new testament doesn't talk about murder of heretics
doesn't luke 19 say that though?
19:26"He replied, 'I tell you that to everyone who has, more will be given, but as for the one who has nothing, even what he has will be taken away. 27But those enemies of mine who did not want me to be king over them—bring them here and kill them in front of me."

Sure sounds to me like this verse is advocating the murder of anyone who doesn't agree!

While I am no fan of the bible, this verse is actually part of a parable called "The Parable of the Ten Minas," and the person saying this is the king in the parable. However, while it isn't meant to be taken literally, I'm definately no big fan of this parable, because it basically says that those who worship God, and "invest" what he has given, will recieve great reward in heaven, but those who don't will simply perish. Nice God huh?

Does this count?
Romans 1:29 They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, strife, deceit and malice. They are gossips, 30 slanderers, God-haters, insolent, arrogant and boastful; they invent ways of doing evil; they disobey their parents; 31 they are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless. 32 Although they know God's righteous decree that those who do such things deserve death, they not only continue to do these very things but also approve of those who practice them.
Your mind will answer most questions if you learn to relax and wait for the answer. - William S. Burroughs
More or less. It does say that heretics deserve death, but that is a bit of a step away from advocating murder. With that said of course, it still shows a complete and utter contempt for human life. Also, even though it does not outright say to kill heretics, I could easily see this phrase (and others like this) being used to justify murder. Indeed, half of the first chapter of Romans is all about how pissed off God is at the "Godless."
It's amazing how mad an "all-loving" God can get. And of course the obvious question; If God is all-knowing, then why is he so angry if he knew before-hand that the people that he created were going to screw-up so bad? Just one of the many un-answerable inconsistencies that drove me to become an atheist.
