Was Jesus a Bastard?
If you believe the Bible about the mysterious conception of Jesus, then don't you believe he was a bastard. Afterall, Mary was not married to Jesus's father, the Holy Spirit.
If you believe that Mary was not married to Jesus's father but was impregnated by him then wouldn't that also mean the Holy Spirit committed fornication?

No, I am not angry at your imaginary friends or enemies.
Well, sort of. In Christian mythology, the man and woman are joined in God's holy matrimony. The promise the couple makes is to each and to god that they remain faithful and married to each other until death. They are not married TO god.

Aren't nuns considered to be "married" to christ, also? Don't they wear a simple ring on th third finger of the left hand when they take final vows? Or is that dependent on the order?
